Is it ok to cut off some from an end to fit? Will that effect how it works?** A: For anybody wondering, this material is meant to be cut. Shops and labs usually buy massive rolls (for a massive price) and cut it down to fit the bench. **Q: Do you need to use the eyelet cord or does the snap provide sufficient ground with the wrist strap?** A: The wrist strap connects you to the mat but, the mat itself should be grounded via the other wire. **Q: Can you easily slide a pcb around on it for viewing a pcb under a microscope.** A: Yes. **Q: I need a desk pad this exact size and it's a hard size to find. Does this surface perhaps work well for using a laser mouse on it?** A: The surface of these mats are similar to some mouse pads, so maybe: some mouse pads work better than others for optical vs. roller ball & vice versa. ## Frequently Bought Together - Bertech -ESD High Temperature Mat Kit, 18 Inches Wide x 30 Inches Long x 0.08 Inches Thick, Blue, Includes a Wrist Strap and Grounding Cord, RoHS and REACH Compliant (Assembled in USA) Product Name - StaticTek Banana Jack Outlet Black Plug Adapter | Universal Ground 3 Prong Outlet Earth Connection | ESD Control |Light Weight Unbreakable Plastic | 1 Piece | STI - DES - 09838 - Bertech ESD Anti-Static Fabric Adjustable Wrist Strap with 12' Cord, 1 Megohm Resistor, 4 mm Snap, Blue --- ## Why Shop on Desertcart? - πŸ›’ **Trusted by 1.3+ Million Shoppers** β€” Serving international shoppers since 2016 - 🌍 **Shop Globally** β€” Access 737+ million products across 21 categories - πŸ’° **No Hidden Fees** β€” All customs, duties, and taxes included in the price - πŸ”„ **15-Day Free Returns** β€” Hassle-free returns (30 days for PRO members) - πŸ”’ **Secure Payments** β€” Trusted payment options with buyer protection - ⭐ **TrustPilot Rated 4.5/5** β€” Based on 8,000+ happy customer reviews **Shop now:** [https://www.desertcart.com.sa/products/72642548-bertech-esd-high-temperature-mat-kit-18-inches-wide-x](https://www.desertcart.com.sa/products/72642548-bertech-esd-high-temperature-mat-kit-18-inches-wide-x) --- *Product available on Desertcart Saudi Arabia* *Store origin: SA* *Last updated: 2026-10-07*
