Effective but use with caution
Initially I was intimated to use it but it is really no-brainer: squeeze the pump to inflate and use the valve to adjust firmness and deflate. I definitely felt the pull in my neck which was nice at first. However, after using this, I feel like I may have a more severe cervical condition because after just a few minutes, my neck felt strained and I went into a slight panic as it seemed the pressure was too much and I had a hard time breathing. Perhaps to start, one should inflate minimally. I don’t know that I’d use it again after that experience personally but I can see how it is effective for those with cervical tension (not as sensitive as mine.)

Best relief I have found yet.
Ordered after seeing a few videos online showing people stretching/popping their necks. I struggle with neck/back pain almost daily but can not use an inversion table (recommended by several friends and family) due to acid reflux. This peoduct works as described as long as you follow the instructions and take a moment to familiarize yourself with the checkball that prevents air from leaking down. (In short duration periods I personally did not experience any leak down without using the checkball) It is fairly comfortable to wear and does not feel like it is choking me. My best advice for someone new is don't pump it up to the max and start out with short time increments. Stop inflating when you feel the stretch but before it becomes uncomfortable. Over time you can gradually wear it longer and pump it up more to relieve more pressure. I am up to about 10 mins now and can feel not just a relief but a generous increase in the range of motion my head has after wearing it. It almost feels too good to be true for the price. Hopefully this lasts. Side note, like some others have stated, laying down when wearing it seems to support the next the best.

This thing actually works!!
First off. I'm not one to write a review. But I just had to in this case. I have had neck problems for the last year. Was told I had a bulging disk. Now whether that was true on not. I don't know. But I do know that I have had pain and a stiff neck for the last year. Some days are worse than others. And I had a slight dull pain when turning my neck to the left. I was constantly rotating my neck to try and get relief. I got this neck device today (5/13/2025). I was very skeptical because who isn't when buying a $20 medical device online. But I put it on and aired it up pretty good. It was tight but not chocking me or anything and I was sitting in my chair for maybe 5/6 minute with this on. I let the air out and man, I'm here to tell you I have no neck pain!!! I can bend my neck down and up, to the left and right and no pain!!! If this thing only works for a month and I have to buy a new one every month. It will be totally worth $20 a month for this pain relief. I'm going to put it on again later on tonight and wear it about 5/6 more minutes. And hopefully wake up tomorrow feeling my best in a year.

Moderate pain relief from this funny-looking inflatable pillow
I have a neck and shoulder issue that I went to physical therapy for and while the exercises do help, it still causes me some pain, especially after sitting in an office chair all day. When my therapist recommended that I try one of these inflatable traction devices, I was pretty skeptical. Seriously, it looks absolutely ridiculous. But hey, the girl in the picture is smiling, so it can't be bad, right? Well, after using this for a few weeks now, I am completely surprised and offer my apologies for jumping to conclusions based on the picture (which being honest, still looks rather silly). All you have to do is wrap it on your neck, inflate with the manual hand pump to your desired comfort level (I usually fill the thing till it won't inflate anymore) and then sit there for about 10 minutes. You will look pretty goofy, but after you release the air, it actually feels like it did something to help with the pain. To be fair, it's not life-altering pain relief we're talking about here but it offers some decent relief for a few hours afterwards. No guarantees it will work for everyone, but I am certainly glad I gave it a try. It's not expensive and hasn't exploded on me yet!
