Wow super nice for the $ and a lot of features too.
I was not sure what to expect as I was coming from an older Hisense that was more expensive than this by a lot, but seems newer technology like mini-led in this, makes it better for much less. So even replacing an older higher end model worked out fine. I looked this up and most reviews claimed it was the best higher end "entry level" model and that is what it seems to be. Has some great features not found at this price point on other models and the picture looks great. My setup uses Dolby Vision and this worked right away. One thing to keep in mind when connecting devices is only 2 of the 4 HDMI ports are 2.1 144hz and all that, so make sure to use the right ones for the right devices or could miss out on some settings. The picture looks nice to me for a $500 TV, really nice especially if you go on YouTube and watch the 4k/8k HDR clips. The sound is also very nice "for a TV" so even if you always use a sound bar, you might be able to skip using it sometimes as the TV does sound OK with the little subwoofer on the back. FWIW yes the sound bar setup does sound better, just the TV is good enough you might not need it all the time. This is a FireTV TV so you need to connect to an Amazon account "if" you want to do some things or use the FireTV stuff. You CAN use it right out of the box not connected to internet and everything does work. I connected it to Amazon and its actually pretty snappy for a TV and works good enough. Its not like my other TV where everything takes 10-15 seconds to come up and things are so slow, this is very snappy actually usable unlike a lot of TV's.

Good TV
I saw some reviews mentioning that the TV gets stuck on the initial update because WiFi isn’t set up yet. I ran into the same issue, but I solved it by forcing a factory reset (hold the Back and Right buttons together for 10 seconds). After the restart, a QR code appeared, and I easily set up the WiFi through the Amazon App. The update then installed successfully. This is my first Fire TV, and after a little time to get familiar, it was very straightforward to use. All the popular apps are available, and the colors, brightness, and picture quality are impressive. 4K playback is smooth, and the built-in features like HDR10+, Dolby Vision IQ, and Dolby Atmos make the experience even better. Overall, this is a solid, well-built TV with excellent value for the price. I’m very satisfied with the quality and trust the Hisense brand.

Best Sound Of Any TV I've Ever Owned
I was moving up from a 55" to 65" and the specs and price were the deciding factors. This Hisense is replacing a year old Samsung and I can see no discernable visual difference when placed side by side. BUT the sound! This TV's speaker system, with its built-in subwoofer & equalizer, totally blows away the sound of both our tinny, thin sounding Samsungs and a Sony. No comparison. The TV will get hooked up to a Bose/Klipsch/Yamaha surround system so I won't be using the great sound Hisense has put in this TV. If you need a quality, feature filled TV with excellent built-in sound quality, and don't use a sound bar or sound system, this is the TV for you. Seriously, as a standalone, I can't get over how great it sounds. If picture quality, specs, and a great price are your focus, Hisense should be at the top of your list. UPDATE: I bought this TV expecting the headphone jack to function. It does NOT. Too much hassle to try and return a 65" TV so I will have to live without using headphones. Beware...

Picture perfect, audio nice television.
Its a wonderful television. Please know it's not a Google smart tv, you won't get YouTube on it unless you cast it from a laptop via HDMI cable. However you won't miss YouTube you download other apps eg Crunchyroll. I'm not disappoint at all. Works great with a VPN too.

Amazon sold me a stolen locked TV
AMAZON SOLD ME A STOLEN TELEVISION. Brand new, box intact, opened the box, discovered 1 of the 2 stands were missing. Contacted Amazon, they referred me to contact Hisense diectly. Did that, Hisense agen was rude and inept, however after 30 minute battle promised to ship the missing parts. I continbued, setting up the TV to discover it had been reported stolen. Unable to connect it to my Amazon account, locked. Now battling with Amazon. I asked AZN to verify if this was from 3rd party or AZN. they verified FROM AMAZON. I have demanded a refund, they are as of yet refusing. I'l get VISA involved for refund and am sure to now be blocked by Amazon. Oh also the TV has a white zone in the top of the screen. Total garbage sent to me.

Great Quality
Great tv with a very clear picture no matter the light. 👉 No — this TV does not use Google “Ambient Mode.” 👉 It uses a VIDAA-style screensaver / art display instead. Instead of Google-style ambient photos: * You’ll see basic images, artwork, or a simple display * Some models let you pick: * Clock ⏰ * Photos 📸 * Art gallery 🎨 It’s basically “ambient mode’s quieter cousin” — same idea, fewer bells and whistles. 🤔 Why it’s different from Ambient Mode * Ambient Mode = Google TV feature * Your TV = VIDAA system, which uses its own screensaver instead So even though people use the word “ambient,” your TV isn’t actually using that system. ⸻ 🔍 Quick way to confirm on your TV If you want to double-check: * Go to Settings → System * If you don’t see “Ambient Mode” but do see Screen Saver or Art, you’re on VIDAA (which

"The best surprise I’ve bought this year"
What struck me the most when I turned on the TV for the first time was the brightness. I’m coming from a conventional LED TV and the difference is night and day; the blacks look truly deep (almost like an OLED) and the colors are vibrant without looking artificial. It’s the kind of screen that makes you want to rewatch your favorite movies just to notice details that went unnoticed before. What I really loved:Next-level picture: The Mini-LED technology with Local Dimming does an incredible job controlling the light. There’s none of that annoying "blooming" or glow around white text on dark backgrounds.Built-in Fire TV: If you already use the Amazon ecosystem, it’s a dream. It’s super smooth, fast, and the Alexa voice control saves you a lot of time searching for apps.Game ready: Even though it’s not an extreme enthusiast-grade TV, it has Game Mode Plus and a refresh rate that makes console games feel smooth and lag-free.Sleek design: The bezels are almost non-existent, giving it a very modern and minimalist look in the living room.A small detail to consider:The out-of-the-box sound is decent and works fine for everyday use, but if you really want a "cinema" experience, I’d recommend connecting a soundbar to take full advantage of its Dolby Atmos compatibility.

Bargain that punches above it's weight
Pretty happy so far and I've used it quite a bit in a short time since I'm at home a lot this time of year. Simple set up, although I used the easy set up since I don't have prime, that took all of 5 minutes. Colors are great, although I am comparing to a five plus year old vizio led so your mileage may vary depending on what you're coming from. I quit gaming since the consoles are charging stupid amounts so all I need it for is youtube and dvd player. So I knew I really didn't need the extras that the U7 or 8 offer and I waited til this went on an early sale for black Friday and I feel like I really got the best deal I've ever had on a TV cuz the Pic and motion is beautiful. The sound is better than any other TV I've had too including an overpriced sony I had. I don't use the voice feature for the remote so the remote is very straight forward and easy to use. Whole TV is easy peasey lemon squeezey in fact. Great bargain that holds its own against much more expensive tvs and i dont think you need anything more unless you're gaming. Even then I think it would be decent but a U7 or 8 would be a lot better for that. If you're just streaming or watching physical media this thing is really great and I don't even think you need a sound bar. Time will tell on reliability but she fired up right out of the box and hasn't even hiccuped yet. The only possible complaint I coupe come up with is that it doesn't completely shut off. It goes into a standby mode when you shut it off which, even that, is a nice thing because it means it is ready to instantly as soon as you hit the power button. It even has a physical power button on the front that not only turns it off and on but even will cycle through the modes. That's REALLY nice in case you lose the remote or have the battery's die. Most tvs don't have that so a nice user friendly well thought out problem solving touch imo.
