DuChateau Clear Maintenance Oil

New floor and first thing I did was pull table and put a large scratch in wood. Apparently while furniture was being moved one of the leg protectors fell off. I quick rub with this oil took care of the scratch.

The formulation of this product is different than our previous purchase. It is very important to apply a thin application as it does not dry as quickly as before. The end result is still good so I would recommend it

Moved into a brand new house this year with DuChateau flooring. The price of about $100 per quart looks very expensive, but 6 months later I would say ts worth every penny. After the application of the oil to the floor it 1) transformed its appearance 2) created a hard protective shield that looks as good today as it did 6 months ago. In that time we have split liquids on it and had a lot of traffic both from family and contractors still working on the house. The impact on the floor has been zero! I feel pretty confident that without this oil it wouldn't be looking so good. Highly recommended.

I purchased this new product and applied it the same as the old product in the can. The oil basically sat on top of the floor and never did dry. I had to contact the company and they advised me to rent a buffer and polisher. That really helped, but we are still buffing and polishing by hand after 7 days. The floor looks beautiful, but oil is still coming up when we rub on the floor. Customer service said they changed companies for the oil which requires a different application. I would suggest calling the company and getting clear instructions on how to apply the new oil before beginning this process. Just note that you need very little oil to cover a large area. That jug of oil should last years!

You need to use well ventilated. My shoulder was sore as I have 3 rooms with DuChateau flooring. I need to find an easier way to apply, but having this floor, this is the product recommended for it. I love my floor, but have not applied oil on it yet a second time.

The recommended amount was 300% higher than needed. Keep this in mind when deciding how much to buy for your size house. Product itself is also extremely aggressive, as other reviewers point out. If I were to do it over again, I'd buy just the one bottle. Unless you have a 10,000+ sq ft mansion, you probably won't need more than one at a time.

This product used to come in a round metal container, similar to a pint sized paint can. Not sure if they changed the formula along with the packaging, but when i applied this to my floors, it did not cure within the expected timeframe, and left multiple cloudy and sticky patches all over my floor. I've used the previous version of this product multiple times with great results, so I am not sure if i just got a bad batch, or if something else changed. But my floors look much worse than before, and I will probably need professional help to remove the excess residue.

I need help, the floors are sticky, dining chairs felt pads don’t move on the floor? Do we have to buff the floors to get rid of sticky !
