Exceeds expectations
I bought this dash cam for the dash cam part. I expected to need to mount it somehow to replace the rear view mirror, hard wire it in and run cable inside the body of the car. I was pleasantly surprised by what came in the box and how easy it was to hook this up. To attach it to the car, it just uses strong elastic bands on the back side to cover the existing rear view mirror, so mounting it takes seconds. Then to wire it in, it came with several options; a cig lighter usb-c wire, and then an actual hard wire to the fuse box. Both cables are extra long so they'll reach from wherever you need, but to be able to hard wire to the fuse box and save the cig lighter for a phone charger is a great option. It took just a couple minutes to get it in place for a quick test. The other thing that's included that I didn't expect was this actually comes with a backup camera too. It's got a long wire that plugs directly into the dashcam for audio/video, and a wire that you connect to your reverse light if you want the dash cam to automatically change to the reverse cam upon shifting to reverse. My car already has a backup camera but the quality of this one exceeds my own, so I decided to wire this one in also. Wiring was simple enough. The quality of the video is excellent. You can choose between 2k and 4k, and both look better than the stock backup camera. The other unexpected feature was that this can translate between the different input/output methods that it has. For example, if your car is older and lacks a bluetooth connection, you can actually connect your phone to the dashcam and then have the dashcam broadcast a radio signal, and pick up that signal from your car radio thus translating bluetooth to your car. You can also opt for aux instead of the radio transmitter but for ease of use, you can't beat being able to add bluetooth functionality to your car without adding additional hardware. This dashcam comes compatible with Android auto, apple car play, and a few other connection methods. It is able to display your trip and media controls clearly and the display quality is excellent. The display touch is responsive as well. There is a built-in mic so Siri and Google Assistant commands work great. This even has speakers built in. The recordings capabilities include the reverse cam, the dash cam while driving, and a parking monitor mode and they are all configurable. Overall I am super impressed by this dash + reverse cam. I've purchased other reverse cams and if I had to go back and do it again, I'd just get this combo device and add dashcam + reverse cam at the same time to my other vehicles that didn't have either one.

NOT iOS26 compatible! Decent display mirror with some flaws
Edit on 9/29/2025: Removing another star. The unit is not compatible with iOS26 so it no longer will work with Carplay. There is no method to update the firmware so it's basically useless at this point. Edit on 8/28/25: Removing a star. After using this screen for three months, the rear casing has warped and the screen housing has popped off the rear housing and will not snap back together. I'm going to have to glue it together to get it to stay in one piece. This display mirror has several good features but enough short comings that they should be considered before purchasing. Overall it mostly does what it says it will do and here are the pros and cons: Pros: Nice display with decent overall contrast and the touch screen is fairly responsive. Don't expect high end phone performance but it's more than functional. The size of the mirror unit is great and is much larger than most standard rear view mirrors giving you a great field of view. The 4k dash cam is clear and crisp, and the back up cam is good enough for it's application. It has an acceptable boot up time (around 10 seconds from power up to streaming Apple CarPlay) and the display options for the cameras and CarPlay/Android Auto are great. I also like the fact that you can turn the screen off with a push of a button to turn it back into a standard mirror. The included hardware gives you a few options for powering the unit and including the back up cam is a nice touch. I also like the ability to output the audio over FM, wired, Bluetooth, or the built in speaker. It also has a decent mic built in for hands free calling and voice control. Cons: The negatives are mostly with the non CarPlay/Android Auto UI. The app to download the dash cam recordings simply does not work at all. It just gets stuck in an endless loop of trying to connect. There is a removable CF card so you can get to your recordings that way but even my 5 year old dash cams can easily connect to their respective apps for immediate downloading. When in CarPlay/Android Auto mode, there is a extra "button" that is overlayed on the non dash cam part of the screen that opens a quick access menu for access to the camera, home screen, audio output selection and brightness. This button is completely redundant and saves no amount of taps to access the respective functions. I have found no setting that removes this button and it's just in the way. The audio streaming works just fine but it does seem to "hiccup" from time to time. I have not had this issue with any other device I stream to. Since this device is sold by countless vendors here on Amazon, I have not found any site that can update the firmware for bugfixes or new features in the future. I suspect that updating this device is not going to be possible limiting it's "future proofness". It is relatively cheap though so there is that. The license plate mounting kit that is included for the back up cam was either missing parts or simply is not the correct one for the included backup cam. There was no combination of included parts that would allow that bracket to work with that camera. Other observations: Since this is a mirror screen, in bright sunlight the mirror reflection can overpower the screen itself. I have found that just flipping the mirror to the "dim" position will fix this but if your car has an auto dimming mirror, you won't have this option. The rubber bands that attach the device to your existing mirror leave it a bit shaky. I did buy the suggested glass mounting kit but it was not the correct size. This unit uses the larger 14.5cm x 6cm screw pattern which is MUCH less common. I only found one vendor with the correct sized glass mounting kit. To use a glass mounting kit, you have to pop out the four rubber pads on the rear, remove the four screws and small plates, remove the rubber band ears, and then attach the glass mounting kit plate with the screws that you removed.

Best rear view camera radio on the market.
This is an excellent addition to your car. If you do not have Carplay or a rear view camera, this is the one for you. It is beautifully designed. The mirror is very useful, and provides a great reflection when the radio is off. Once the radio is attached to your existing rear view mirror using the supply rubber connectors, it is simply a matter of running the three lines to their associated connections. The first line connects to the power source. Two connectors are provided. One goes to the lighter socket, and alternatively the other line can be used to plug into the fuse box. It comes with two fused lines that easily plug into open sockets on the fuse box. There is a black ground wire as well. I chose to plug into the lighter socket. The next line runs to the rear view camera. You'll need to figure out a configuration that enables the wire to run hidden from view. The camera mounts easily on the location where the license plate is mounted. It fit perfectly on my car. I ran the line through the trunk, into the back seat through an existing hole, and then along the door jamb and ending at the unit. The last line is run from the AUX input to the AUX output of your existing car radio. If you have a recent vehicle that has a Bluetooth connection you can connect wirelessly. My car is a 2007 so I used AUX out. Once everything is connected the next step is to choose your source for entertainment. I have an iPhone, and the radio connects simply using Bluetooth to enable Carplay. The instructions are simple and the same as every other Carplay enabled device. Once connected I arranged my apps so that the most used are on the first screen. The radio is now ready to set up. The instructions are very easy to follow. When you start your car, you see the apps you choose and in the order, left to right, that you choose. I choose from left to right: Waze, SiriusXM, and front camera. The view is wide so all three are viewed easily. When you put the car in reverse, the entire unit views the back just like you want f et I'm a rear view mirror camera. You can choose 2K or 4K for resolution. You can view recordings using the playback feature. It even comes with a high capacity microSD card to save all your recordings. This unit is packed with features. It's well worth the price. Get one!

backup camera cable is too short 18', not for trucks
Works as advertised, biggest complaint would the rear camera cable is 18', (you need at least 25 for a ford ranger), second the license plate camera mounting is lacking, does not adjust (bend bracket)I held with 3 micro screws that I don’t expect to last very long if you have a truck prepare to buy an aftermarket cable or solder an extension. The unit is more computer than mirror, rear/front view is fixed at 33% of the screen and distant objects (>200') appear very small. Slow to boot (about 45 seconds), recording is functional but the app to view/download is difficult, didn’t work for me. (you can remove the sim). a real power on switch would be nice, and someway to activate the rear camera to (full screen) mode vs the 33% window. on the plus side it includes the cable for internal install vs using some hooky cigrete lighter thingie which conveniently is also included. Install was easy without specialized tools, it says USB-C however if you use the FM transmitter it’s actually located inside the power supply cable(s). It’ll run on a USB-C cable however didn’t test full functionally and the cable got warm.

Needs work!
I've had this unit since July so this is a review from someone who used this for months now> Front facing camera Qualtiy is great even at night time. Rear facing quality Day time is excellent but at night time the exposure is so high when a car headlights or any lights are in view of the camera the exposure is so high the image is burned out and you can't see whats behind you or what lane the cars are in. App is always disconnecting, it will transfer one file and has to be reconnected to the ad-hoc network. Build quality is not stable as the front of the mirror came off completely, reconnecting the internal ribbon cables and it won't clip back together, the bottom/sides clip fine but the top doesn't clip in place at all, and I had to use hair ties to keep it from falling back off. The company has a few days before go through assurion to get a claim started for it. If there was a way to connect my windows to the ad-hoc network and download files and maybe even use telnet to communicate with the unit's linux platform it would be a decent camera. I'd build a windows app for it for sure if there's notes on the api /sdk.

Really happy with the functionality!
This is a neat device that breathes new life into an old vehicle without the modern amenities of a new car. I’m surprised how jam packed full of features this is. You have a dash camera, rear-view/back up camera (also records too), BT to FM transmitter, Carplay/Android Auto and a whole host of other features! What’s nice is that this kit came with a SD card (will probably replace it though just to get more capacity and high endurance), a hardwire kit and all the accessories you might need to install it. They thought of everything to ensure you can get up and running. I think one improvement area would just be in the instructions as it wasn’t entirely clear on how to configure things and utilize things fully. It isn’t a huge deal at all, but I’m still figuring out how to utilize everything. Here’s some tips on navigation that I’ve found thus far: 1. When utilizing the backup camera, you can do a scroll up and down motion to angle the view up/down. Initially, I was shocked at how high up the view was and it made me miss my old backup camera as I could better judge the distance. Once I figured out I could adjust the view, things were a lot better. 2. When you’re in carplay/android auto mode, you’ll have a view of the front or rear camera and you can two-finger tap to swap between front or rear camera. It might be a two-finger tap or a swipe, so play around with it. 3. On the back up camera, you can touch the guidelines and move them around to what you desire. Overall, I’m very happy with this device and it’s been a stellar addition to my old car!

Great mirror for classic car.
This thing is great. I have a 68 Galaxie station wagon with terrible blind spots. I was looking to bring some modern tech like maps, music, dash cam without having to have my phone out all the time. I found this android auto mirror and from comparing, this one sounded like it was a better deal and more features like 60hz and the hardwire kit included unlike others. Well I knew it would be a challenge to make work in my classic without looking completely out of place. But after some fab work it turned out great. The mirror is great so far, it responsive and clear. It was quick to connect to Android auto and if you know how to use a phone, you can quickly figure out the settings, cause yea the manual if kind of lacking. I also discovered that even though it's not mentioned on page at all, that you can actually connect to the mirror via a phone app and live view the cameras, as well as download any of the files saved on the SD card. UPDATE TO THIS PART: The connection between the app and mirror is over Wi-Fi, but it becomes almost unusable once you set up android auto. AA connects first, and when its connected, you can not connect to the app to view the files. Still working on testing this part more, to see if there is a better way. The camera are adjustable physically, as well as the image can be shifted up and down a few degrees to find tune your view. The included hard wire kit, for the parking lot monitoring, that other mirrors don't include, was easy to install. It allegedly has a battery monitor on it so if the car battery gets below a set level, it'll shut off fully to prevent from draining car battery. Have not tested it fully but we'll see how well that works. Overall I am very happy with how it all came out and how well it looks and performs. I posted a few pictures on some of the classic forums I'm on and have already had a couple friends either but or add to their wish list and have asked me to help install it for them.
