**Q: Will this still be salty after soaking?**
A: I will soak my Bacalla for at least 24 hours, replacing the water a few times. It will still have some salt but most will be gone. Soaking rehydrates the salted dried fish as well. Just remember the Bacalla adds some salty taste to your Dish. I would soak at least overnight.

**Q: What is origin of this cod?**
A: Cod that has been preserved by drying after salting.  It has been preserved this way for over 500 years.  Traditionally it was dried outdoors by the wind and sun, but today is dried indoors with the aid of electric heaters.

**Q: What is the country of origin?**
A: I called parthenonfoods.com (1-877-301-5522) and I was told either Norway or Canada BUT he was not 100% sure.

**Q: can it be fried?**
A: Not as it comes delivered you will have to soak it in fresh water to remove some of the salt it is cured in first then it could be fried.
