22g Protein Pastry 0g Added Sugar, Low Carb, Gluten Conscious, Keto Snack, Ideal for Glucose Management, Includes Whey Protein Isolate, 8 Pack Frosted Blueberry

I ordered the legendary Smores and really liked the flavor, even if the artificial sweetener taste was a bit obvious, but the blueberry flavor was not great. Came in fine, no sort of icepack or anything to keep it cool so keep that in mind, especially in California summer heat for me. The frosted blueberry vice the smores was far too sweet tasting and made me feel sick just eating one. Understandably so, the sucralose in the ingredients is far too strong and the artificial sweetener taste overpowered my taste buds. This is present in their other products, but for the blueberry it stood out far more. Also, note the price. A bit high considering what you get. Each package comes with one pastry, with 8 pastries total. When I bought it that would mean it would be 3.75 per pastry. Would you buy protein poptarts for $7.50? Poptarts may not have protein but the price difference is a bit crazy if you do the math. **UPDATE** Legendary foods contacted me saying they were sorry they heard I wasn't satisfied with the product and sent my suggestion on packing to corporate and processed a refund to my account for my order that I made over a month ago (September 8th). That was very nice to see and I was honestly surprised. I brought my review from 3 stars to 5 just alone due to the customer service. In my eyes, if your willing to pay the cost and try the food, try it. If you aren't satisfied Legendary foods seem pretty competent on their customer service side and I don't see why you wouldn't at least try it.

So i have an update. These have gone to crap from Amazon. Now they are flat, wet, sticky and just wrong. Packages are different. Either they changed suppliers or they are getting duped. I now buy these exclusively at the store. Will no longer purchase this on amazon. First impression was disappointing it only had one pastry inside. But don’t let that fool you! It’s dense, and has much more filling than its um competitors lookin at you pop tarts! It has 20g of protein and plenty of fiber! Its pastry is sort of soft and fluffy. Another pleasant surprise after the other “toaster pastries”. Most of their products are at or around 200 calories. Since purchasing this, I’ve gone on to try strawberry which is comparable in flavor with same macros. The s’mores is smaller and has 20 less calories and while good doesn’t give me a true s’mores vibe. The cinnamon rolls are meh unless you microwave them for about 12 seconds. That’s a game changer! The chocolate cinnamon roll is the better of the two. I typically pair this with one of my spylt milk drinks for 40 grams of protein and 290 calories. It’s not a bad way to start your morning! That said, I hope as the brand grows the price improves. That’s why I had to deduct one star. It doesn’t stop me from buying them in bulk, but could be a deal breaker for some in this economy.

Don’t be surprised when you open the first package. Tastes better than it looks; definitely does not look like the package. But 22g protein and 8g fiber, tho!

Taste is slightly different that a regular pop tart, but it is still good and a ton less carbs, and sugars.

They taste good and have great macros, but they've took a massive dip in quality. You'll see in other reviews what I'm referring to if you look at the pictures. In short - there's an older version of the product that was great, exactly like you see pictured on the box. But they've since moved to a new (I assume cheaper) manufacturing process that's simply not anywhere as good. They still taste okay and have good macros, but for how much these cost, I expect the original high quality pastries, not what they're pushing now. I'm finishing what I have in stock then moving on to a new product.
