Review: Would purchase again - This was super fun for my pre-k class. 8 out of 10 of them turned into butterflies. I would recommend getting the lid holder log too. I did not and the butterflies emerged inside the little cups. It was cramped.
Review: Fun activity for family bonding - even with teens! - I bought these for our butterfly net home. When my kids were 5 we decided to hatch butterflies. They are now 13 and we found the butterfly net in the basement, we wanted to buy again to see how the caterpillars transform into butterflies. Even at 13, they were amazed and loved doing this - it will be yearly tradition. For the cost, it is a great family interactive activity - as we all run into the house to see where they are in their transformation. If you are looking for bonding, learning about nature, and love butterflies, this is so perfect! All the caterpillars did turn into butterflies and the directions are very easy. We used oranges to help feed them.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Caterpillars
*by M***M on June 20, 2026*

We received our caterpillars but not all of them survived. When trying to see what could be done they wanted me to ship back the dead caterpillars! Some have made their cocoons but the dead ones are on the bottom of the jar.
