After several years of intensive usage, this little guy is still going strong and helping me make the most impressive cinematic shots/ I love how stable it is but also compact and lightweight - given the capacity. It's easy to balance and then I can trust that it won't need rebalancing any time soon. If it feels off then a quick calibration sorts out minor issues. It's USB-charging and the handle itself contains both the usb port and battery (an improvement over previous models) and there's an easy to see LED gauge to let you know when it's fully charged. The extra handle on the combo bundle makes longer sessions much easier and enables me to get low down shots with nu fuss. The gimbal packs down really small, and has several modes to suit my style of filming. I always use the tilt lock mode, to keep the horizon level, and after a few hours of use the way of working becomes second nature. The display is handy and easy to read, with functions clearly described. At the time of my order this was just the best value gimbal for its functionality you could buy. Now, you would buy the latest version, which is even more impressive, but if you can't afford that then I can absolutely assure you that a used RS3 combo is still an amazing tool. As you can see in the image, over the years I've adapted the gimbal slightly, adding a full scale Manfrotto quick release adapter and various counterweights to suit my fairly unbalanced rig. The motors are powerful enough to deal with the extra bits, no problem.

Very sound and solid product from DJI. Can only recommend it to you; however if you're planning on building a set up around this stabilizer, know that you won't be able to add dual hand grips and therefore mount any additional elements of your envisaged set up. This is to be kept in mind but this gimbal is great value for money and impressively easy to set up.

Having read the reviews and decided to purchase the DJI 3 mini pro gimbal I have to date only set it up and used it on a trial basis what I found that there are many videos on You Tube for both set up and operation of the gimbal which proved to be very useful and made the set up very straight forward. When comparing the balancing to a friend’s cheaper gimbal the set up was a lot easier and once set up as long as each axis is securely locked off the gimbal remains balanced when removing the balance camera from the gimbal and then at a later stage replacing back onto the gimbal. I purchased the Combo version of the gimbal which includes the person tracker and the auxiliary handle, until now both have only been used in a trial basis but the tracking appears to work well with the hand gesture operating the on and off feature very well. The auxiliary handle in addition to assisting in the operation can be set so it makes the natural balance of the gimbal easy to carry when not in use. The set up of the features including the customisation of the gimbal axis speeds is straight forward and after a small amount of trial and error can be set to the users’ needs these are in addition to the preset speeds included in the gimbal software. Another positive feature is the closing and locking of the gimbal axis when turning the gimbal off all axis are aligned into one and even with the camera still attached make the gimbal easy to carry when not in use My initial reaction is very positive and I am looking forward to using it in me video work in the very near future

Pros: - smaller & lighter than rs4 - addition of new tracking unit cons: - no removable battery! - handle can only be attached on one side - much more difficult to balance than RS4 (with fx3 + 24-70mm + VND filter) - grey colour stands out against most camera colours (presumably to match the drone colour way) - no travel case Conclusion: Worthwhile upgrade if you're looking to get the latest gimbal for a lighter mirrorless set up but the lack of replaceable battery is criminal considering price.

Bra produkt men jag har svårt att balansera rätt. Jag har suttit många timmar, följt youtube tutorials men får det aldrig så "perfekt" som man vill ha det, kan dock bero på att mitt objektiv är 24-70mm zoom. Men funkar ändå bra och gör sitt jobb. Extremt skönt att den låser axlarna och man inte behöver balansera om gång efter gång.

Estaba pesando en comprar el Rs4 o incluso la versión Pro. Pero realmente no existe una mejora sustancial entre los modelos salvo por el modo viertical y algunas cuantas mejoras en el sistema de estabilizado En mi caso no utilizo tanto el estabilizador salvo que el proyecto lo requiera, cuando compre este modelo lo hice pensando en que no tendría que comprar un modelo reciente por lo menos en unos 3 años. También compre la versión simple sin todos los accesorios ya que cuento con motores de enfoque externos tilta para montar una black magic 6k pro y en los casos donde requiera foco automático montaría alguna de mis fx30 o fx3. En conclusión no gastes tu dinero en el último modelo de estabilizadores, mejor invierte en otras áreas como luz o cristales. El estabilizador no lo es todo.

Ottimo prodotto ma DJI Ronin è una garanzia. Upgrade per me del 3mini. Ottime features: il blocco centralizzato di tutti gli assi e la possibilità di riporlo già bilanciato senza doverlo "smontare" ogni volta. Vertical mode ottimizzato, meno macchinoso di prima. Unica delusione: vite di regolazione solo su asse orizzontale. Pensavo fosse su tutti e tre gli assi, ma sicuramente DJI lo metterà nei mimi 5, 6, 7... +00 😉
