These are precut 3M tape strips. I cleaned off the old adhesive with Goo Gone and a light wash and dry with Dawn (don't submerge!). It says two sets and you'll use both - one for the left side and one for the right side. I cleaned my windshield with some alcohol and let dry before sticking to the windshield. My car bakes in the sun everyday and my IPass hasn't fallen off.
