Beautifully crafted base plate, the silver matches perfectly for the silver top A7Cii. I love the little magnetic key and the latch for the battery access. Also most importantly, it gives me a more solid hold on the body with a comfy resting place for my pinky.

I bought this so that I could attach my black rapid camera strap which I’ve got a Push-Button QD (Quick Detach) Sling Swivel System attachment. It fits well I’m always a bit worried that the little integrated magnet attached screwdriver will fall off, but it hasn’t yet. Out of an abundance of safety I have put it in my camera bag from time to time. Well, I didn’t realize that I was also gonna benefit from the fact that it protects the bottom of my camera. It’s already taken the brunt of a few nasty shunts that wouldn’t have been so kind to the plastic body of the camera.

Makes the ergonomics so much better with out adding bulk

Perfect for the A7C2. The baseplate gives more space making the grip more comfortable, multiple threads at the bottom as well as cold shoe mount gives a lot of options for additional gear to be mounted. The only nitpick is the included tool which is a positive, however it is held by 2 magnets in the cold shoe mount on the edge of the plate making it quite easy to loose if you are not careful. Also You don't need to remove it to take out the battery, just pull the level and it gives enough space for battery door to fully open
