Dr.meter 1 Pack Soil Humidity Sensor Probe, Plants Soil Moisture Meter, Accessory Only, Cannot Be Used Alone

I got two of these to monitor the moisture on two newly planted trees. Easy to pair to the main monitor. Great real time readings with time and temp. It has been wonderful to get to help out our new baby trees to survive a hot summer. Definitely recommend

Work but not all the time. Most times it says 0% unless its complete soaked

These worked perfectly for nearly a month, then the readings became anomalously low (for soil humidify). Now after several days of heavy rain, they are showing some soil moisture but unrealistically low. I suspect the electrodes must have corroded, as these work by measuring resistivity of the soil, and if I pull them up and clean them, they probably will measure accurately again. Likely what this means is that the electrodes need to be (real) stainless steel. This is disappointing since they worked so well when I first installed them. Multiple sensors work well (with the above caveat, these are short lived without intervention - likely cleaning). I have not tried cleaning them yet, but will report on that when I do. Great idea and very useful product, but it needs to function for a longer period of time to be useful.

I have 12 sensors spaced throughout my flower beds and check the soil moisture levels a few times per day. Overall, the moisture accuracy is suspect as you really can't be sure if the connection back to the base is working unless you reseat the sensor in the ground. Would probably not recommend.

It's a good product that works well. very precise and useful. In Italy it is not possible to order only the probe, for this reason it is ordered from Amazon USA
