I am crazy and will only purchaee MTECH knives as this point
Howdy folks, I am no knife connoisseur but I am a wildland firefighter and we ALWAYS have to have a pocket knife on us. I’ve had pocket knives priced 40-100$ as well, and these to me work just as well. Unfortunately I am a puts and with all the gear we have to carry on our person at all times, it is really easy to continually lose your pocket knife in the backcountry were you will simply ~never see it again~. I did pretty extensive research into what was the best bang for my buck knife wise, and discovered MTECH my first season in fire and have never looked back! They function extremely well, the blades are well made, sharp and are also easy enough to sharpen yourself. I’ve never had any issues with them being unable to lock and they might need a little breaking in but opening has never been an issue once used a few times. I also love that they have a ton of fun colors and designs and every type of knife i’ve purchased from them so far (like 10+ as i’ve gotten them for gifts for fellow wildland firefighters too and like to have a few extras as I stated am a puts who loses them regularly) has exceeded my expectations and stood up to the quality I expect from them at this point. These truly are a phenomenal value for their price, I put them through a lot at my job, and would highly recommend to anyone!!

Bizarre and Cool Knife, Great for the price, don't expect too much
Another weird and wonderfully ugly/bizarre spring-assisted knife from Mtech! Why do I need to have 14 spring assisted knives?! And what is the attraction to these strange, pseudo-futuristic skeleton designs that look like a weapon from the Predator movie franchise? Sorry, folks, I have absolutely no idea! I'm not even really into weapons, I just use this for opening boxes or similar household task. Okay, but the important details: Locking mechanism is great, there is no side-to-side blade play, it opens very easily, and the spring action is good, though not outstanding-- never failed or opened half way. One thing to be aware of with these knives-- also true for the smaller one-- is that the screw that connects the blade to the handle DOES loosen over time, and may fall out eventually (it did on another Mtech, but it always winds up in my pocket.) Weight is a little heavy, but totally acceptable. The issue with the screw is not enough to discourage me... these are cheap Chinese knives, I don't expect too much from them, but I recommend having a star ratchet set -- I seem to have acquired one at one point -- in case the screw loosens. At least on my other Mtech, the screw falling out didn't impact the operation of the knife, it was just cosmetic, which doesn't make a lot of sense. If you tighten the screw too much, however, the action of the knife will not be as fast. I'm sure QC is variable-- you might get a bad one and have to send it back, but mine was fine.

MADE IN USA, Good Quality, Easy to open
Made in the US of A. Compared to a Kershaw equal quality. Sharp, light weight, bright red. Nice to have features: seatbelt cutter and glass breaker. Easy enough to open that my wife can open it with one hand. I recommend it.

Tactical Safety knife
I wanted a versatile, quality knife. It has the feature of a cool looking knife, but adds the extra safety features for usefulness. The car window punch and the seatbelt cutter, just to make a couple. Send well made for the price as well.
