The social features of this game are what drew me in, with many of my class mates and xbox live friends owning the game, and is a must have title for playing with or against friends. Having come from fifa 10, the games style of play was a surprise. It defiantly feels a lot slower with better defending needed than in previous games, and more reliance on skill moves, but these all make the game feel like a challenge instead of just needing one good tap of Y to rip open a defense like on fifa 10. The ultimate team feature of the game was the most enjoyable for me. For those who are unfamiliar with the mode, it is basically a card trading game within fifa, with teams being made from cards the player has collected and then used in matches and tournaments to collect coins to buy more cards with. You can also buy packs of cards with either real money or a considerable amount of in-game coins. The mode feels great, how you can hand craft a team into something that feels your own, and scourer the market for hidden gems. The pack opening is also good, but you do tend to get given relativity worthless card most of the time, and need to pore allot of real money in get anything good from them. Still the excitement when you open a pack is great. Overall this is a awesome game for a laugh and to get really in to, there something for almost everyone in it. The one thing i would suggest though is if you plan on playing ultimate team, buy 500 points or so for packs, as without them you will be left with a pretty awful team from the starter pack. Starting from scratch is, of course, possible, but it is allot more fun to have a decently competitive team right from the off.
