If you've never tried an shokz product, you should. I have a hearing impairment and in-ear solutions are not an option. Moreover, over the ear gets fatiguing. I ordered the original version and had them for maybe 4 years, but the mic started to slip, so ordered the OpenComm2, and these are superior in both the charging cable (it is now a USB-C, not the wonky magnetic one), sound quality (seems better clarity) and folks say better mic. Battery life is about the same, lasting most of 9 hours. Best of all, they are compact, comfortable, and work with two units, so I can have my phone and laptop connected concurrently, though only one will operate at a time. Summary: I highly recommend for folks who don't want to wear a headset, or like me, can't. The bone conduction really works.

If you are thinking of buying, you should definitely spend the extra money for this set of headphones. The product is light weight and does not bother my ears. The boom mic is excellent. My wife always complained about being able to hear me on my old (other brand) of headphones. I tried calling in the car wash and the other end could not hear all the racket that was going on with the blowers and spray nozzles. Even took out most wind noise, standing outside in the wind. Comes with a nice case, battery life has been great. I have been able to go 3 to 4 days listening to music and talking. The app is nice but does not have a lot of options for EQ. Pretty much music or talking are your two options. I have not had issues with it vibrating my face off when talking to people on the phone. And like I said tried it in the car wash and was able to hear the person on the other end just fine. The music volume is pretty loud as well. I run it as low as I can and it is a little loud sometimes to hear things in the room. Connects instantly when turned on. Definitely worth the money. Only complaint would be the pictures in the product description are a little different than the actual device. Mine uses USB-C to charge not the magnetic charger.

I liked this so much I now have 4 of them so I have a backup in each of the 2 scenarios I use them in - home and truck. I always have a charged one in case I need to swap out. These are clear, have great range and connectivity. I am a truck driver and these have the best noise-canceling mic I ever used. The truck can be running and I can be outside near the engine and the person I am talking with just hears me. These are the perfect trucker headset. They hold charge for a couple days of use. Since they don't cover the ear, it's legal and a great option for most companies' drivers.

The sound quality is incredible, it sounds like the person is right there and the microphone is great. But unfortunately, it seems to be sized for a large man’s head. it fits really loose so I can’t put my head back because it’s a stiff wire. And the weight on my ears is really heavy and if I have my hair down, then that creates more heaviness and I end up with a pounding headache. If I have my hair up, it fits better as far as the weight goes, but who wants to have their hair up all the time without the option of letting it down. They honestly need to make another size of this so that it could fit. They made one that fit and wasn’t as heavy on my ears and didn’t give me a headache. I would buy it immediately but unfortunately, after about an hour or two it’s just unbearable. Not sure if the bone conduction is part of that reason.

This is the second Shokz OpenComm I've owned and I use them every day for work and driving, listening to podcasts while troubleshooting. They are comfortable all day but clamp well enough to stay in place while active. This new version has improved microphone background noise reduction, an added microphone mute button and has a USB-C charging port instead of the the propiratary magnetic charging port, making charging flexibility better. The previous magnetic cord also can damage the charger it's attached to. if the magnetic end attaches to metal other than the charging connection and the charger is on, it can short the charger output and damage the charger's circuits. I would buy again.

The headset itself is awesome, I can hear whats playing and whats around me very well. The boom mic is very clear and gets the job done, but i hate the way it looks and when i rotate it back when i am not on a call it presses against my ear and causes pain. This would be 5 starts if the mic was removable when not in use. I bought my wife a set of the OpenRun and the microphone on them is very good if not just as good as this. I am looking into sending these back and getting myself a set of those.

I love, love, love my Shokz! I use these for work and it's great. I wear hearing aids and I can't use those plus traditional communication headphones at the same time, which was a challenge for work. I got a pair of basic OpenRun headphones that I used for nearly a year, but then someone I work with mentioned these and I have not been unhappy at all with the upgrade. They have great quality, the sound is good. And best yet - because of the bone conduction I can have the volume lower and still hear everything I need to - traditional headphones I would nearly max out the volume to hear clearly since I couldn't wear my. hearing aids at the same time.

I bought the "OpenComm2 2025 Upgrade" version without the "Loop120" USB dongle. This headset connects to all my devices using Bluetooth. The audio quality is great, and I really like this headset when it's working properly. Unfortunately, with Microsoft Teams conference calls, the mute button mutes both the mic and the speaker so I can't listen to the other people in the meeting while on mute -- more like putting the meeting on pause. The mute button seems to work properly in Zoom calls but not over Teams. I was hoping this issue with Teams calls would have been fixed with a firmware update, but... There doesn't seem to be any way to update the firmware on this headset as of May 2025. I've had phone calls and email exchanges with Shokz support and no solution so far on how to update the firmware. The Shokz app for iOS iPhone says that this headset model is not supported. I have no idea if the Android app supports this headset because I don't own an Android phone. The Shokz Connect software for Windows and Mac computers requires the 'Loop120' or some other USB adapter in order to connect to the headset -- the software does not recognize the headset when it's connected to the computer via bluetooth or with the included USB-C cable. I don't have the USB dongle, so I can't test it, but I assume you can update the headset firmware if you have the dongle. The product page says this headset works with Windows and Mac computers and iOS iPhones. It's true that it connects via bluetooth to these devices, but there seems to be no way to update the firmware on the headset without the dongle, which I didn't buy because I thought I could just use bluetooth. Great overall headset design in terms of audio quality and overall experience talking on the phone, but I'd like the mute issue with Teams to be fixed and I'd like to be able to update the firmware.

Excellent Product. Clear audio and clear speech. My one learning with product is that does not work well in noisy environments like airports or airplanes in flight, had to switch to AirPods. Good range of connectivity between phone and device for person that forgets their device on a desk or another room. Calls don’t always bounce to Shoks when incoming but easy to transfer. Battery Life is a over 12 h of standby and use for phone calls and 8-10 hours for music, audiobooks etc. Generally very pleased and would recommend
