I called Toshiba, and told them the problem, the door latch safety switch failed. I have worked in the Electrical; and Electronics field for over 60 years, I have built 8 computers and 2 TV's, I know what I am doing. I checked first on reports and the door latch assembly is cheap and has a bad track record on failures. I called Toshiba twice and they could not even find the part number I gave them. Of course not because it is supplied by a company called Medea so it is their part number, but the tech could not cross reference it. I will never purchase another Toshiba appliance, and neither will 45 friends and family members because they all look to ME for advice on any technical.
