Tanach: The Stone, Student Size Black

I bought this as my local Chabad told me to get it. It’s a lovely Tanakh with some commentary but it perfect to read the pasha each week.

Purchased wrong size,I had ment to order the large size,but the student edition is super,I thought the print might be to small to read,but no problem! It is easy to hold to read,Love it,best error I have made this year! Will order large size another time. Very happy with this edition.

This Tanach is simply a vital study tool for anyone wanting to understand more about Judaism. As this is an Artscroll book, there is little more to be said - a treasure!

A beautiful creation of the holy word. A must buy for those wishing to bring the books of the people together and scholars alike.

As stated. Some may find text too small but okay for me.

Together with its Annotations, brief commentary, awesome translation, and complete fully punctuated Hebrew text, with Masoretic Notes, this is the Ultimate Tanakh to have on your bookshelf. It includes detailed charts, tables and maps, that make this an indispensible reference piece. In fact, as far as Bibles in general go, this one is tops. The workmanship and joy can be seen in this work, and the editors certainly deserve praise. This is firstly a Jewish text, and and that the Translation follows Orthodox (traditional) approaches to scripture. The translation is accurate, and highly readable, especially for prayer purposes. The annotations, although brief aid understanding and meaning of the text. I also recomend the "Stone Chumash" by the same editor and publisher, and the Koren "Jerusalem Bible" ISBN: 0873069994 as excellent additions or companions to aid study of this most important work.

Erstens ist die Tanach authentischer als das normale Alte Testament, das wir kennen und nutzen. Zweitens, der größte Pluspunkt sind die Erklärungen der Rabbiner dazu, die sich nun mal besser damit auskennen als die Christen, denn das ist ihr jahrtausendelanges Wissen. Wir haben damit sehr viel mehr erfahren und verstehen gelernt. Da öffnen sich Horizonte. Eine Tanach auf deutsch mit solchen Erklärungen haben wir leider bisher nicht gefunden, die gibt es nur als Thora. Auch die ist empfehlenswert. Wer sich mit englisch auskennt, für den ist es eine außergewöhnliche Quelle für mehr Wissen, Erkenntnis,mehr Glauben und Verständnis des Alten Testamentes.

You won't find here silly things like Adam's "rib", nor "pierced feet" in Psalm 22... The MOST FAITHFUL translation from Hebrew in print. Great product. Very happy. Good font size, well laid out, the only potential improvement I could think know is the paper thickness is a little thin, so that the print from the other side is visible, but not legible or interfering with legibility. I can understand if the paper were thicker the book would be too thick.
