Review more than one model before you buy.
Nice saw with some quirks. I bought a HS7600 model a few days ago. I found it didn't have a vacuum hose port and after spending a good deal of time (the Makita website is dismal) I could not find the one pictured at Makita. There is a screw port on the saw, and Makita shows a part, but they don't sell them, you are directed to places like Home Depot, Ace, Amazon but I couldn't find it there either. So, I returned the saw and ordered the HS7610 which does come with the port. I don't know what vacuum hose fits it, as my Craftsman shop vac (small one) doesn't. I ordered a hose adapter kit and was able to find one part that fit. So, add another 10 bucks to your list. I made my first test cut today and the saw works wonderfully, and the cut was square. The saw tracked straight. While I gave it 5 stars as it's a good saw, the safety button to activate the trigger is a bummer. You either need really long, double-jointed fingers, or both hands to start the thing. Hard to do if you're holding a square as an edge guide for the saw. But other than those two issues, this should last a long time. Also, the HS7600 is a 10-amp motor, HS7610 is 14 amp, and the saw only weighs .1 pound more. I bought this to replace dads' saw that's from the 80's and has some blade deflection issues that are bearings or arbor related. I would buy this again.

Help my wore out shoulder and elbow.
Saw man for custom builder last decade. I am old school I run a chorded saw all day. The one amp decrease isn't noticable but the almost four pounds has been. Saws get dropped and bent. With a 7610 you can adjust it back to square. Only negative is the tigger safety that's thumb button. It's an adjustment to get use to. If is was on the top of handle like a beaver tail on a 1911.

Rios through wood and accidentally the metal saw table
It’s great quality and a great price. I just wish it was easier to see the blade as you cut your line. Also, the line for 0 Durant match exactly and is off by about 5-7MM

Good saw, not so good vacuum
Great line voltage circular saw. Used it for my vertical plywood saw rack. Wanted one with a vacuum pick up which this has but unfortunately it’s not very effective at collecting the saw dust
