Highly recommend for fans of action and historical dramas! ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ good quality *by T***. on February 11, 2026* good quality good sound and picture ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Good movie, but not quite as good of a story as first one. *by R***X on March 26, 2025* As my title says, as a stand alone movie, and had this been the only Ridley Scott Gladiator film, it would have been a masterpiece, but because we have the first one to compare it to, it falls a bit short is as the story itself isn't quite as strong as the first one. Don't get me wrong, it's still pretty good, just not quite as emotionally grabbing as the first. It basically picks up about 15 years after the first one, if memory serves, where the "Maximus" gladiator in this one turns out to be Maximus' son from the first film, and he's now the slave in Gladiator school after being captured in battle. The reveal of this plot point was rather well done, in my opinion. It harkined back to the original film with the same motion that Maximus used in the arena. The action scenes in this film are pretty good, but we've seen similar before in the 300 films, and other Greek/Roman period pieces. So they weren't all that ground breaking.
