will this work on screw back studs?

Hi Candice! Yes, I purchased them for my diamond studs with screwbacks and they work well. They are slightly different shape from the original backs that I got with my earrings, but you don't realize that they are on your ears. I keep my earrings in all the time, so they are comforatble to sleep in as well.

Does anyone know if the Chrysmela Catch backs will work on threaded posts?

Updates from the Brand:  Many of our customers have happily upgraded their screw backs to Chrysmela.

Chrysmela works on straight earring posts including threaded screw posts, 0.6-1.1mm.   Most posts on the market today are 0.7-0.9mm.

You may find it easier to apply Chrysmela in “unlocked” position, to open the internal locking mechanism and thus to avoid friction against your threaded post.  Please know that the threads may become less rigid over time with the friction against Chrysmela’s precision internal mechanism.

Can these be worn in the shower?  will they rust or degrade if they get wet?

I wear my diamond studs 24/7 and the past 5 years with these backs.  Never an ounce of issue in the shower, ocean, pool or anywhere

Do these cover the back of the post so the post won't poke me?

Chrysmela Catch works as a replacement for most conventional earring back.   We are not sure how long your earring posts are, but only tiny bit of the end of the posts will show at the end of Chrysmela, less than a conventional butterfly back in general.  Many of our customers have told us that Chrysmela Catches are very comfortable to wear all day long, even while sleeping.   But as you know, these things are very personal.
