Bertucci A-1S Field Watch

Great tool watch, I like smaller watches for everyday wear! Looks to be good quality and very comfortable. It looks amazing for a affordable field watch! Lume is great for price point!

I've been fond of field type watches for as long as I can remember. I own about a dozen, so when it was time to choose a birthday gift for a close friend of mine I decided to get her a field watch of her own. Yes, this is a man's watch but I think its small enough that it will look good on a woman too. Especially considering the currently ridiculous style of wearing HUGE watches. When I received this watch in the mail I carefully looked it over and was impressed by both the simplicity and the quality. The watch has solid end lugs so there are no pins to fail. This means you will always have to use one piece straps, but for a field watch this is a good thing. I was very impressed with the machined parts and the band was higher quality than I expected. The crown being at the 4 o'clock position is about one of the smartest things I've ever seen on a watch. The dial is very easy to read and uncomplicated. This watch has no complications and simply tells time...like a good field watch should. So in the end its about as perfect a field watch as one could ask for. There is nothing remarkable about it and that's it's strong point! It's just a good, solid, simple watch that could go just about anywhere. Update: Now it's August of 2018 and I needed to get a new watch for myself. I remembered this one and ordered it via Amazon again. Watch arrived in two days! The same watch I remembered only now it has a newer and improved nylon band. This watch is just about perfect for an everyday field watch!

I wanted a watch with 24 hour markers for traveling. A lot of places in Europe use 24 hour formats and converting in my head while jetlagged was annoying. This watch has several small features that show a lot of thought in making it work well. I like the fact that this watch has a recessed crystal to protect from scratches. I also LOVE the fact that it does NOT use spring pins. Those are failure prone, and this has a one-piece casing that won't fail and make the watch fall off of your wrist. I also like the smaller size, which fits nicely under dress sleeve cuffs. The offset crown also makes it much more comfortable because the crown does not dig into your wrist. I did not like the band which goes underneath the back of the watch, spacing it up from your wrist. I made a more conventional leather band. It had to be riveted on, but it eliminates the fabric between me and the watch and makes it wear very slim. I used black leather, and it really looks good with the black watch face I chose. The lume on this watch is pretty impressive. it glows very brightly after exposure to daylight. I did not like the reflectiveness of the crystal. It has a lot of glare. I put on a 29mm anti-reflective glass screen protector which helped a lot. I recommend doing that. Overall I think this is a better than average watch for $100. The screw down crown, recessed crystal, and lack of spring pins are excellent durability features that set it apart.

Beautiful gift for a spouse that couldn't have a watch with Bluetooth on it! Now I want one for me!

NICE WATCH!!! I just received this the other day and have been wearing it night and day. I really need a watch that has good night visibility and this is it. Mine has the light khaki green band and it is super tough--as it everything on this watch. The watch size is perfect for those of us that do not have big, fat, thick wrists. So this is, at 36mm is the perfect size for me. It's extremely comfortable and the strap is never going to need replacing--it is very strong and tough. The dial cover is mineral glass (not sapphire but it is extremely hard). The bezel is titanium while the watch case itself is stainless steel. It is a very cool-looking watch and precisely accurate as well as comfortable.

I bought this watch for my son. He loved it! After 2 weeks, it quit working. It was too late for me to get a refund from Amazon, so I contacted the seller. I wanted a refund or replacement. That was a month ago. They keep responding to my emails saying they are looking into it and that it’s taking longer than usual. I’m very disappointed and out over 100 dollars!

This watch is PERFECT! I love the field watch style and this one should be rugged enough to last a long time. With the steel case, screw down crown and back and solid lugs I expect a very rugged but good looking time piece. I am replacing a G-Shock that has served me well but I really prefer an analog watch. This is very comfortable with the offset crown and smaller size. I'll update with accuracy information after I've owned it for a while. Update: After tracking it's accuracy obsessively ( with photographs! ) it gains less than 5 seconds per month. I've worn it intermittently, jogging, swimming, mountain biking and hiking during the test period and it's a great watch. I see reviewers knocking it because its too small. It's exactly the size it says it is. If that's not the size you want buy a bigger one, but don't blame this watch because you bought the wrong size watch. Update: After 72 days its gained 11 seconds. Awesome watch! Update #2. My 4 year battery died after 18 months.

As solid Japanese movement so far keeps great time and is a very nice looking field watch

Se siente muy sólido y resistente, las barras de la correa son parte de la caja, lo que lo hace bastante resistente aunque solamente sirve para correas tipo NATO, la correa incluida es bastante resistente y está bien diseñada, la tapa trasera y la corona son enroscables, lo cual da confianza de su resistencia al agua. A mí parecer da mejor calidad que un timex expedition por sus materiales y ensamble.

Model 36mm - Originale et peu commune dans nos contrées. Bien pour les bras fins. Bonne qualité pour cette montre, ça sent le solide. Et ça semble valoir les seiko et autres montres a Quartz de milieu de gamme. Un seul petit scratch sur le verre trempe au bout de 2 mois, donc ca ne vaut pas le saphir -- mais vu mon utilisation tout terrain (bricolage en mecanique, etc), je m'attendais a pire. Le verre légèrement en renfoncement y fait probablement pour beaucoup. Utilisée lors de sport aquatique (surf, natation, plongeons, ..), sous douche chaude: aucune humidité qui passe. Comme indique par certains, la trotteuse est mal alignée avec les indications des secondes, c'est dommage mais n’étant pas maniaque, j'ai fais abstraction. La luminescence nocturne est belle, et dure assez longtemps -- plusieurs heures après, on peut encore lire l'heure dans le noir. La bande style NATO est très solide et bien finie.

Great for heavy duty work

This is a great watch, tough (unbreakable strap bars), 100m water resistant, hard wearing strap, very legible, and accurate. In fact it is lucky it is tough, because the Amazon US packaging was terrible! No box, no instructions, just stuck in a plastic bag and put in a thin jiffy bag, I am amazed the watch crossed the Atlantic without any sign of damage, even the crown was unscrewed....to be honest, if it hadn't had the case back sticker on it, I would have wondered if it was new. Conclusion: Watch brilliant, Amazon packaging poor.
