Review: Great toy sword! - I bought this as a replacement sword for my son’s broken Zombie Strike Nerf sword. Nerf stopped making those; so I ended up on a “quest” for a new play sword. After careful reviews and time pondering this purchase, I made it. Let me tell you, this sword is quality! It looks like a real sword. It is durable and functional. My son LOVES this thing! It may be his new favorite toy weapon. He was so disappointed when his Nerf sword broke, after receiving this for Christmas he forgot all about the old sword. He play fights his brothers regularly, and they are not easy on their toys. It has yet to show damage. The sword looks real, but it is not sharp and it does not hurt. It is pretty long in size and the handle and grip are good sized. It looks like something you would see people using for medieval role play. I would totally buy this again- 1,000 times over- it was a great value for what I spent! Review: The sword of no regrets, a must-have! - First review from Singapore! :) After ordering a prop sword of a similar size from another website & discovering that it was tragically sent back to its China warehouse as it couldn't fit in cargo, I went on a frantic search for a replacement & settled on purchasing this sword after reading the many 5-star reviews posted by previous customers overseas. To be honest, I had qualms that it might never reach my doorstep but it finally arrived this evening in pristine condition, with its very own packaging & patents! It's a beautiful sword you really shouldn't underestimate, because it does have some tangible weight & can very likely hit someone when swung, so it's best kept away from young children. I honestly love it & won't get sick of holding it. Highly recommended! :) ## Features - Blade Material: Dense Foam with Plastic Core, Metallic Silver Finish - Package dimension: 29.0" L x 8.0" W x 2.0" H - Blade Length: 21 inch - Package weight is 2.0 pounds ## Technical Specifications | Specification | Value | |---------------|-------| | ASIN | B008LMI6D2 | | Best Sellers Rank | #63,892 in Sporting Goods ( See Top 100 in Sporting Goods ) #10 in Martial Arts Swords | | Blade Length | 21 Inches | | Blade Material Type | Plastic | | Blade length | 21 Inches | | Blade material | Plastic | | Brand | Hero's Edge | | Brand Name | Hero's Edge | | Customer Reviews | 4.5 out of 5 stars 1,396 Reviews | | Global Trade Identification Number | 00608866594215 | | Hand Orientation | Ambidextrous | | Handle Material | Plastic | | Handle material | Plastic | | Item Dimensions L x W | 71.1L x 15.2W centimeters | | Item Weight | 0.4 Pounds | | Item weight | 0.4 Pounds | | Manufacturer | Neptune Trading Inc. | | Manufacturer Part Number | G-JS101 | | Model Number | G-JS101 | | Number of Items | 1 | | Product Style | Sword | | Style | Sword | | UPC | 608866594215 | ## Product Details - **Blade length:** 21 Inches - **Blade material:** Plastic - **Brand:** Hero's Edge - **Handle material:** Plastic - **Style:** Sword ## Images ![Hero's Edge G-JS101 Foam Excalibur Sword, 28" - Image 1](https://m.media-amazon.com/images/I/51yns2R57oL.jpg) ## Questions & Answers **Q: is the blade 28 inches or is it 28 inches with the hilt?** A: the whole sword is 28 inches- the blade is 20 inches.. it is a good looking sword. **Q: How hard are these swords? Are they more rubber like than foam?** A: Not quite as hard as rubber, but much tougher than Nerf style foam swords (etc.) They are great for dueling and also look good on display. Hope that helps. **Q: Is the handle removable? Even if i have to cut it off? (Trying to repurpose the blade for a cosplay)** A: no, the handle is not removable **Q: Will this work as a nerf sword?** A: No, these are hard foam. I wouldn't use them for even lightest touch combat at a LARP. In my opinion these are good for cosplay only. ## Customer Reviews ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Great toy sword! *by M***3 on 17 May 2024* I bought this as a replacement sword for my son’s broken Zombie Strike Nerf sword.
