Or how much weight have you racked on them?** A: I don't know what the load rating is, but I routinely rack 240 lbs on them with no problems. If you're asking this question, I suspect you probably want to go much heavier. There is a safety/warning label on the base of the stands, but it doesn't indicate the weight capacity. Very stable. Expensive but one of its kind. Well suited for bench lifting with long catch/support tops. The height is finely adjustable within the specified range using the lock knob bolts. When using the safety pins, the height is adjustable in discrete intervals. Simply stated....these are worth it. I used to have to guess when I was close to muscle failure so I could get it back up on the stands when I was bench pressing. Now, I can give it hell and these things catch it if I can't get it back up. Working out alone, its like your own personal spotter. They work on carpeted floors, if you are wondering, tried and true. I pushed the limit on my workout and used this device twice in 4 sets to get me to failure level on my benching..... they hold up. Put the bar anywhere on it and the gravity holds it down, it doesn't tip. If you work out alone, spend the cash, I'm not sorry I did, I can work out to complete muscle failure now. I put these 3 or 4 inches inside the area of my bench stands and when I can't get it back up, I just put it back a little bit and put it down. They should be much better quality for $100. My biggest complaint if the finis on the rack arms. Its poorly finished and wears right off when the bar rolls on it. It would be better if there was a non-marring surface for the bar to rest on. The brand stickers were not attached well and in peeled them off with some effort. The stands are solid, however the top rack should be narrower or the bottom feet wider.
