It’s very thick and comfortable however it doesn’t fit my car that well with its bands so I just sort of have to put it directly on the seat. I don’t notice my back getting hot with it or staying that cool it’s just to use to relief back pain on a long drive. It’s also very comfortable if it’s being used in a chair!
