Question 1

How do you synch the device with the app? I have left app on and within 50 cm overnight. It finds it, then freezes app. Advice?

Accepted Answer

Is your device a Android or iOS based device?   For Android under settings-app settings. Choose the special access option from the dropdown menu.  then Choose optimize battery use and make sure Temp Pal is not optimized for battery use.  If it is, the Android OS will freeze the app to save battery power and the connection to Temp Pal is lost.     Let us know if this solves the problem. Or if we need to investigate further.

Question 2

Where can I get additional adhesive strips?  Will micropore tape do the job?

Accepted Answer

We will soon make a pack of original adhesive strips available as an additional product.  Double sided medical grade adhesive tape could be cut to perform the same function. Just make sure the sensor (metallic surface) is not covered or the Temp readings will be too low.

How does it stay in place on the skin whilst you move about (is there a strap we can use it with?)

Accepted Answer

It comes with a packet of medical grade adhesive strips. I use it for my very active 20 month old son when he is poorly and it stays on really well and doesn’t hurt him to take off. It is a brilliant piece of kit and the people who produce it are super responsive and helpful (I contacted them about possible Apple Watch compatibility). The only drawback I find with it is that it’s range isn’t great so if your phone is not in the same room, it will lose signal to it. It is pretty quick to reconnect when back in range though.
