Q3 Meta Bookshelf Speaker (Walnut, Pair)

Love the clarity on these speakers! Great set for double duty (2 Chanel and home theater) as they sound really good off axis.

I'm not an audiophile. But these are the best speakers I've ever had. Complex and wide range without any distortion.

For 30 years, my stereo set up consisted of audiophile grade amp and pre amp with a pair of Kef cube speakers (later adding an AirPort Express for streaming) -- and the sound was amazing. This is for music listening only in a relatively large size room. When one of the speakers died, I decided it was time to upgrade my system to the 21st century and replaced the old stuff with a Denon integrated wifi amp (no separate subwoofer). At the time, the Kef Q3 Metas were close to $1,000, so I found a deal and got a pair of Wharfedale Denton 85s. I wanted to like them, but they didn't measure up to what I was used to. Then I found the Q3's for $750 on Amazon and am so glad I returned the others. It sounds like I have my old tried and true stereo back. My only complaint is the magnet that holds on the cover plates is weak, and they fall off whenever the speakers are moved. But as far as sound quality, I couldn't be happier.

These speakers sound great, with surprisingly deep bass for their size. Worth every penny.

I really like these speakers. They deliver excellent clarity across the frequency spectrum, and their soundstage feels open and detailed. Highs are crisp without being harsh, and the midrange is smooth and natural, which makes vocals and instruments feel lifelike. When paired with a subwoofer, the KEF Q3 Meta bookshelf speakers provide a well-rounded low end that enhances music, movies, and games. Even at moderate volumes, they maintain impressive separation and balance. I use a pair of Q1s in the rear for surround sound, and together they create an immersive home theater experience. The Q3s handle the front channels exceptionally well, offering precise imaging and a wide sweet spot that makes listening enjoyable from different positions in the room. Build quality is solid, and the modern design looks great in my setup. Overall, these speakers are a fantastic choice for both critical listening and home cinema use.

Excelentes bocinas, siendo KEF, la serie Q es la gamas más asequible, pero no por eso la calidad es mínima, sonido profundo, suenan bastante bien ya de fabrica sin necesidad de ecualización. Gran compra

L'aspetto più interessante dal mio punto di vista, è nel ruolo della AI a supporto del processo di identificazione del componente con maggiore impatto sulla mia attuale catena audio-video ( PC con monitor 4K IIYAMA PROLITE XB3288UHSU-B1, uscita audio attraverso IFI zen dac V2 poi su ampli Mission 778X per terminare su casse DALI Zensor 1 ), il tutto per ascolto di musica (archivio CD memorizzati flac), di film (DVD - BR) o canali TV. Siamo passati con AI a generare "una scaletta di priorità per migliorare il sistema, basata sul maggior impatto percepibile a parità di altri componenti, con un approccio costo/beneficio ottimizzato". Per farla breve il consiglio AI si è orientato sulle casse ed in particolare le Kef Q3 Meta (inizialmente la proposta di AI orientava alle Kef R3 Meta), hanno evidenziato il maggior salto percepibile di qualità rispetto alla situazione iniziale, fissato un budget di spesa. Di seguito un elemento emerso nel confronto con AI: attuali Dali Zensor 1 Punti di forza: Suono caldo, midrange piacevole, adatte a generi acustici e vocali. Limitazioni: Imaging poco preciso (strumenti "appiccicati" al centro). Dettaglio negli alti limitato (tweeter soft-dome poco esteso). Bassi non profondi (53Hz) e poco controllati a volume alto. KEF Q3 Meta Miglioramenti percepibili: Soundstage → Gli strumenti hanno una posizione precisa nello spazio (es. in un brano jazz, il contrabbasso è lateralizzato, le percussioni sono dietro). Dettaglio ultra-definito → Il tweeter Uni-Q con assorbitore MAT riduce le distorsioni: si sentono sfumature come il respiro del cantante o il fruscio delle dita sulle corde di una chitarra. Bassi più profondi (45Hz) e controllati → La porta reflex posteriore e il woofer da 6,5" danno maggiore autorità senza rimbombo. Equilibrio tonale → Le KEF sono più neutre, mentre le Dali tendono al caldo (potresti notare più "verità" in registrazioni ben masterizzate). Dopo il primo utilizzo confermo le caratteristiche evidenziate da AI. Aggiungo che il posizionamento rispetto alla parete ha un effetto importante, nel mio caso, non potendo allontanarle ho utilizzato i cilindri di schiuma in dotazione, in modo da minimizzare gli effetti di rimbombo dei bassi. Confermo anche il giudizio su Mission 778X: le Kef richiedono un buon amplificatore ed il Mission 778X è ampiamente sufficiente.
