Good for general cleaning before painting. It won't bleach or etch the paint. Just gets dirt off. **Q: Would this work in a stainless steel dishwasher tub? I've heard TSP damages it.** A: I purchased and use TSP with my Stainless Steet Dishwasher tub. I've been using it after we lost a dishwasher to incredible hard water build up. There was no bringing it back. In this dishwasher, it has caused no problems at all.
