Master’s Collection Matcha

Matcha in the evening to me is like my morning coffee. I used to purchase matcha from Japan. But import fees are ridiculous now. So I thought I would give this a go. Now like coffee, matcha varies in its tones and sweetness when it comes from different places. Even though this is not the same as the one from Japan, it’s very very good matcha considering every factor. Also it’s very rich so if I make a tea, I only use half a tsp, and very thick so great for Koicha (“thick”). I cannot get over how the flavour comes through so lovingly in a latte! Usually when you go to a coffee shop to get a matcha latte, it tastes nice but there is a slight after taste because they are not using ceremonial grade matcha, they are using the very cheap slightly dull green matcha. Here when I make a matcha, the flavours come through, the colour is beautiful and it tastes cosy and is perfect before bed. The Japanese imported matcha didn’t handle well being in milk but I would purchase the cheapest he sold because the thicker matcha like this was too much for me to import. I’m so happy to have discovered this, I really hope they don’t change the quality or the price. I am aware things are rapidly changing with our British economy. But pleeeeeaaasseee always stay affordable and if the highest quality.

Love this matcha. Amazing vibrant green color, sweet aroma and lovely balanced taste, very easy to mix and froth. I find it ever so slightly on the coarser side, comparing to for example Bi matcha (my favourite) but that might be just me being too picky. Tried more expensive matcha few times but I always go back to this one or the Bi matcha. In my opinion, this is one of the best matcha on amazon and for a great price.

wow! i’ve tried a few matcha powders and am still trying to find what i like and prefer in a matcha and i was very taken back at how strong this matcha is; i now have to use half what i usually have to use. overall very intense smell and taste almost nutty, not bitter at all and very fine texture! great value for money the first matcha i will be repurchasing.

So after reading all the reviews I decided to go ahead and try this brand of matcha. It smells very earthy and grassy. It is much better than some other brands on amazon. This particular brand is not very bitter and is probably a good choice if you are just starting out with matcha. Overall its a good matcha. Just a quick Tip!! avoid using soya milk if you are making a matcha Latte Either use normal Full fat milk or alternative milk like Almond, Oat and coconut. I make it both ways just with water and usually in the mornings when I am going to work I make a matcha latter. Also invest in a milk frother it makes it smoother when you drink your matcha latte. my fav flavor of matcha! bright , smooth, balanced taste but as an everyday matcha drinker, the price is enough to deter me :(

I would definitely say it’s a good quality of matcha and is worth the money but I personally didn’t like it for lattes. I would recommend it for people who love very very sweet lattes or use it with juices (pineapple) like I do. Will definitely try the other ones

At first it smelled & tasted like seaweed when i was using boiling hot water (i’m a matcha beginner) but then when I cold whisked it, and used oat milk it tasted way better. Reminds me of black sheep coffee’s iced matcha latte. I also like to rim the sides with honey .

This matcha is really good quality. Wish there was more in the pouch but the taste was very nice.

I suffer from both a matcha addiction and decision paralysis...After lots of sifting through tiktok and reddit (specifically for nutty blends,) this one came highly recommended. I am by no means a purist, I just love a nice nutty flavor for my daily lattes. I have to say this one is delicious! It tastes like toasty pistachios, and pairs very well with vanilla and ube. I didn't find it to be bitter, it was creamy/ foamed up nicely, and the color is very rich. I think this brands overall pricing is fair , for a notable step up from store bought matcha. It is also a big plus that it's readily available on here! I would definitely use it as my daily matcha :)

2 WEEKS AFTER REVIEW. PICTURES left can is yame fragrance collection, center is new Chiran masters collection from Naoki directly, right amazon ordered Chiran masters collection muddy color matcha is my first purchase from amazon, the vibrant color match is the same product shipped directly from NAOKI. So here is the low down, I ordered this Naoki ceremonial grade master collection single harvest matcha. To my disappointment what was sent to me from amazon was this terrible matcha that screamed cheap culinary grade being sold as premium new age matcha. The color was dull and brownish that looked like dirt to me. It even felt gritty to finger. My first cup had the sensation of chalk or baking flower in my mouth . The flavor was decent and not bitter but it had a dead taste with no vibrance. It did froth rather well though. In general I was not happy with this matcha and would return if I could. It is the worst matcha I have ever come across and I don’t consider this ceremonial grade, I want to toss it in the trash but don’t want to waste $34+ READ this!!! I email this company with my complaints, they responded within 72 hours and assured me that what I recieved was a mistake and that they wanted to make it right. The took my information and within 1 week they sent me a new container with a second variety to try. Thank you Naiki for the gift! With excitement and anticipation I opened the new can and to my surprise what was inside was a completely different product. It resembled all the other photos and reviews I have read. The color and smell were both vibrant and rich as you would expect from a ceremonial grade matcha. This match froths very well and when you do a smear test you can barely tell its not stone ground. (the manufacture verified its not stone ground) It feels smooth to touch and sticks to everything just like stone ground matcha. My first sip I notice it was smooth and creamy in texture, the flavor was rich and had the umami you would expect from a premium Matcha. And to my biggest surprise was the sweetness that you get. So what I received from Amazon was trash but this company does produce a great product and would recommend you try this product because even if amazon is at fault for damaging the matcha this company will make it right !!! FYI the fragrance yame is good too! just one notch down from this masters collection! Happy buying, give them a try, Ill be back for a second take !

As you can see from the picture this matcha is very vibrant. I make an iced matcha latte every morning and this matcha is my favorite one I’ve used so far. It’s very bold but smooth. This is the recipe I use that I’ve perfected myself: - 3g sifted matcha whisked with 1/4 cup 85°C water - 1/2cup milk (I use whole milk because I feel like oat or other alternatives overpower the taste of matcha) - .75oz of pure maple syrup

Delicious and use it every day.

probably one of the best matchas I've had from amazon. This one is more pricey but sweet and very worth it.
