When you first apply it there will be a milky effect but once it starts to dry it will turn clear with a glossy finish. The drying time is quite quick but leave it to completely dry as per manufacturer instructions before applying second coat etc. **Q: Would this seal an autograph in a silver sharpie on a black leather jacket?** A: No is the short answer. This is the last part of a process to dye leather.
