I bought these for post septum surgery, as I knew my nose would be bleeding for a few days. These worked really well. I folded them into a nice thin strip and then placed under the nose, securing with some medical tape. They absorbed the blood well and was soft on my skin so did not irritate. Would recommend for septum surgery.

Ursprünglich wurden diese Kompressen für einen Notfall bestellt, der hoffentlich nie eintreten wird. Genau das ist mir jedoch die Tage passiert, als ich mir mit einem scharfen Messer eine tiefe Schnittwunde am Mittelfinger zugezogen habe. Durch die Verpackung aus Papier waren die Kompressen trotz des Notfalls leicht zugänglich. Bei einer Größe von 10x20cm haben sie eine gute Größe, sodass 2-3 Kompressen mit Druck auf die Wunde die Blutung gut stoppen konnten. Die großzügige Form lässt auch Anpassungen mit der Schere zu, sodass jede Form von Wunde behandelt werden kann. Die Oberfläche der Kompressen ist dabei eher glatt und weich, sodass sie beim Verrutschen oder Abnehmen/Wechseln keine Schmerzen verursachen. So war es auch möglich, eine frische Kompresse vor dem Schlafen anzubringen, welche über die Nacht und gut hielt (mit einem entsprechenden Klebeverband). Alles in allem kann ich hier nicht nur jedem eine klare Kaufempfehlung aussprechen, sondern jedem raten, sich mindestens eine Packung dieser Kompressen in den Medizinschrank zu legen. Bei dem Preis darf es einfach keine Ausreden geben, denn ein Ernstfall tritt meistens unvorbereitet ein.
