The Ultimate Solution for Reliable, API-Free Smart Lighting
If you are a Home Assistant power user, you’ve likely dealt with the frustration of cloud-based bulbs (like Govee) hitting API limits and becoming unresponsive. I swapped to these THIRDREALITY Zigbee bulbs to move my lighting entirely local, and the improvement in reliability and response time is massive. Flawless Home Assistant Integration These bulbs are a dream for anyone running ZHA or Zigbee2MQTT. Because they use the Zigbee protocol, they don’t rely on an internet connection or a manufacturer's cloud server to function. Integration was near-instant; they were discovered immediately and have stayed rock-solid on the mesh network. No more "API call overrun" errors—just lightning-fast response times for every automation. Exceptional Color & Performance The color quality is impressive, especially at this price point. The RGBTW capabilities provide deep, saturated colors and a wide range of tunable whites. Whether I need bright, cool white for a workspace or a warm, dim glow for the evening, these bulbs deliver without any flickering or humming. Local Reliability Moving to these bulbs has completely stabilized my smart home. Because they communicate directly with my coordinator, they don't contribute to network congestion on my 2.4GHz Wi-Fi, and they respond to commands as a group simultaneously rather than the "popcorn effect" you often get with Wi-Fi bulbs. Final Verdict: For the price and the performance, these are easily some of the best Zigbee bulbs on the market for the DIY smart home community. If you’re tired of being throttled by cloud APIs and want a professional, local-first lighting setup, this 4-pack is the way to go.

Excellent Zigbee smart bulbs with vibrant colors
These THIRDREALITY Zigbee smart color bulbs have been a fantastic addition to my smart home setup. The Zigbee connectivity is rock solid and pairs seamlessly with my Home Assistant hub without any issues. I love the wide range of colors available — from warm whites for relaxing evenings to vibrant hues for parties and mood lighting. The 800 lumens output is plenty bright for most rooms, and the color accuracy is impressive compared to other smart bulbs I've tried. Setting up automations and schedules through my Zigbee hub has been a breeze, and the bulbs respond instantly to commands. I bought the 4-pack which is great value, and all four bulbs have been performing consistently since day one. Highly recommend these for anyone building out a Zigbee-based smart home.

Reliable Zigbee bulbs with flawless Home Assistant integration
I’ve used Tuya and Tapo bulbs before, and they were nothing but headaches — unreliable, constantly dropping off the network, and generally frustrating. These ThirdReality Zigbee bulbs are the complete opposite. Setup is effortless, they pair instantly, and they stay connected without issues. I run them with a Sonoff Zigbee dongle on my Home Assistant server, and the integration is seamless. The bulbs respond immediately, brightness is consistent, automations trigger reliably. Most importantly, they just work every time, which is something I can’t say about other brands I’ve used. On top of that, I’ve had experience with ThirdReality’s customer service for other devices, and they’ve been excellent — quick, responsive, and genuinely helpful. That kind of support makes me trust their products even more. If you’re tired of flaky smart bulbs, these are a game changer. Highly recommended for anyone running a Zigbee network, especially with Home Assistant.

Good bulb. Decent color. Works with just about every smart home platform.
Really decent bulb. Working with Home Assistant, SmartThings, and Alexa no issues. Nice colors. Negatives are minor but might be significant to some... My go-to bulb in the past was always Sengled; as they are super reliable for connection, stability, and long-lasting with decent color. The main gripe I have with so many of these smart bulbs is that it's hard to find reliable color and brightness. Where are the super bright color options in this market? Anyway, these are decent, although I have experienced some connection issues periodically, where the devices don't respond as quickly as higher-priced models I've used or just don't respond at all. I say this is minor only because it's more consistent than not and does really well overall, especially for the price-point. These are decent. I wish they were brighter (but that's not really a fault since most bulbs on the market - at the time of this writing - suffer with this problem). Some of the colors are a little washed out, but most are really well-concentrated and look very nice. The whites (including warm and cool shades) are decent also. Good bulb. Good price. Worth considering, just don't expect maximum brightness or top-tier color saturation. Connectivity is mostly spot-on, with very occasional issues.

Solid Zigbee Bulbs
I've been very happy with these Zigbee bulbs. I mainly use them in table lamps in my living room and bedroom, so I don't take advantage of the color-changing features very often. Most of the time I use them as warm white lights, and they do that really well. The brightness transitions are smooth, especially as part of my Home Assistant automations. They dim and brighten gradually instead of changing abruptly, which gives the room a much more polished feel. They've also been reliable and have stayed connected to my Zigbee network without any issues. If you're looking for dependable Zigbee smart bulbs that integrate well with Home Assistant, these are a solid choice.

Great Zigbee Performance, But Colors Don’t Match My Other Lights
I really like how these THIRDREALITY bulbs connect via Zigbee—it’s fast and reliable. Unlike my old Wi-Fi bulbs that sometimes lag or drop connection, these respond instantly when I turn them on or change settings through Home Assistant. All I needed was a Zigbee dongle, and they paired without any hassle. For the price, especially compared to the Govee bulbs I used before, this 4-pack feels like a solid deal. They’re simple, get the job done, and don’t clog up my Wi-Fi network. That said, the color accuracy is noticeably off. When I set both these bulbs and my Govee lights to the same color—like a warm white or soft blue—they end up looking completely different. It’s not just a slight difference; it’s obvious and kind of jarring, especially if you’re trying to create a consistent mood across rooms. I think part of the issue might be that these bulbs aren’t super bright, so the colors come across as duller or washed out compared to what I’m used to. They’re fine for general lighting, but don’t expect vibrant, true-to-setting hues. One more thing: these bulbs don’t have any built-in effects like music sync, rainbow cycles, or scene modes that Govee offers. If you’re into flashy lighting, you’ll need to handle all that through Home Assistant or another smart home system. But if you just want basic, dependable colored bulbs that work well with Zigbee and don’t cost a fortune, these are a decent pick. Just don’t expect them to match other brands perfectly.

Locally controlled by home assistant and I couldn’t be happier!
Take my review with a grain of salt as I am probably not into smart bulbs as most but here’s my experience. I have had wiz and lifx bulbs. I’m not a doctor so I could never afford hue bulbs. I am also a smart home enthusiast! So I’m very anti WiFi and cloud. I run home assistant and won’t buy products that aren’t locally controlled and native to home assistant. Well these are zigbee, not wifi bulbs. That means fully local. If you don’t understand that, please research it. It’ll give you freedom! These bulbs look amazing! I have no issues with them and they work great in my zigbee network. I’m actually buying a 2nd pack today. A lot brighter than I expected too, which is great since they’re also dimmable. For $30 for a pack of 4, I personally think they are worth the money. Keep in mind you need a zigbee hub for these to work! It’s worth it though

Great Bulbs...but
Edit: THIRDREALITY just pushed an update that fixes the brightness issues, changed to 5 stars! So far these are great Zigbee bulbs and are now supported in the latest version of Zigbee2MQTT. The color seems good, nice and bright and very responsive. Here's the but, no mater what setting I use in my Home Assistant automation they will not turn on if you include brightness in the automation. I'm trying to set them as normal white bulbs during the day and then based on motion at night turn on red at 10% brightness. I know the automation works as I've tried it with Hue and Yeelight bulbs with no issue. Another thing I realized is I have the bulbs pushed through a HomeKit bridge so I can use voice commands on a HomePod. When I tell Siri to "turn on the lamp 20 percent" it will not turn on. Then the I next time tell Siri to "turn on the lamp" it comes on at 20 percent. I have tried with different brightness and it's the same. If I add the brightness level to the voice command it does not turn on and the next time I tell it to turn on it will be at the last brightness level I told it when it didn't come on. And to make things even weirder, If I tell Siri to "turn on the lamp blue", it comes on blue (really works with any color) but if I tell Siri to "turn on the lamp 20 percent" (or any brightness level) it doesn't work like before but now if the next time I try to turn it on I say "turn on the lamp blue" it won't come on until I say "turn on the lamp" then it comes on and the brightness level (from 2 commands ago) and blue. I tested saying a brightness level (doesn't work) and then "turn on the lamp blue" (doesn't work) then another color (doesn't work), I tried like 4 different colors in a row and it will not come back on until I just say "turn on the lamp" then it comes on set to the last color I said. It will not turn back on after adding a brightness level unless I use the basic "turn on the lamp" command. I might be sending these back, great price but these limitations are a deal breaker.

Bright, responsive, and perfect for Zigbee2MQTT on Home Assistant
These Zigbee RGB bulbs do what they’re supposed to and do it well. I run them using Zigbee2MQTT on Home Assistant, and setup was seamless—no app required, no Wi-Fi congestion, just fast pairing and reliable performance. They’re from Third Reality, a brand I really love and use extensively across my smart home. These bulbs are bright, responsive, and offer excellent value. After months of daily use, I’ve had zero issues. If you want dependable Zigbee lighting, this is a solid pick.

Perfectos para Home Assistant y de buena calidad.
Muy buenos. Se integran sin temas con Home Assistant via Zigbee2MQTT (me imagino que via ZHA sería igual), y sirven de repetidores reforzando la red Zigbee. Compré más.

WOW
Oh wow! I was excited to try these Zigbee bulbs, but I didn’t set my expectations too high. I have a Sonoff bridge as well as a Hue bridge. I didn’t hold out hope that these bulbs would be able to connect to the Hue bridge, but Tradfri bulbs can so I figured I’d try. And WOW! These connected to my Hue bridge quickly, easily, and seamlessly! It was even easier than Tradfri! Of course, any third-party bulb isn’t going to have the same range of HUES as Hue. Those are expensive for a reason. But I was very excited to see that the ThirdReality bulbs could play along with the Hue scenes and other Hue lights! I’ve shared some comparison photos of an 800 lumen Hue bulb on the left and an 800 lumen ThirdReality bulb on the right. It isn’t able to match all of Hue’s shades, as stated, but it stills plays along seamlessly. Now, I haven’t had the bulbs for long - just got so excited by how quick and easy they were to setup that I had to come share, so this is a preliminary review. Once I’ve used them for longer, if there is anything else of note I may update this.
