Bought this for a 9-year-old boy who’s about 4’8” and the fit ended up being really good. It has enough room to layer underneath without looking oversized or awkward, which can sometimes be tough with kids’ jackets.The overall quality also feels very solid. The material has a nice lightweight structure to it instead of feeling paper-thin or flimsy. It holds its shape well and looks like an actual jacket rather than just an emergency rain shell.In terms of performance, it does a good job keeping water out for normal rain and everyday use. We live in the Pacific Northwest with rain 9 months out of the year. I re-buy this same jacket in a bigger size every time my kiddo grows out of it. It is a shell rain jacket, meaning there is no warmth to it intentionally so it’s wearable most of the year. In the spring, it’s great because it’s light enough just to keep you dry with an t-shirt under but in the winter you need to wear a fleece underneath it (which we also get from Columbia and matching rain-pants).That said, he wears this rain jacket the most both with and without layers but then when it’s extremely cold or snowy we have a significantly thicker, puffy style water-resistant jacket. I always purchase it a little bit bigger so he has room to grow and to accommodate layers underneath. It runs a little long, which is amazing because it covers his rain pants quite a bit so doesn’t allow him to get soaked between those layers. We are partial to two piece rain suits now rather than the all in one pieces (we used when he was much younger) because it’s easier for him to quickly go to the restroom when needed by just pulling the pants part down instead of entirely getting out of the top and bottom part of a suit.Measurements are:Weight: 35.5 lbsShoulder to fingertip: 17 inchesBase of neck to lower back: 12 inchesAcross chest and shoulder: 10 inchesThis is an XXS/size 4-5, *which is different/bigger than their toddler size 4*.

Great rain jacket. It is definitely a shell. It will not provide warm the if that’s what your looking for. It will keep your kiddo dry though. I ordered a size up so my kiddo could use it next year too, but they seem to run a bit small so they ended up fitting just right. I would say the run a half to almost full size smaller than what the tag says. Quality overall is great. Seams and zippers are sturdy. Overall appearance is great.

I am satisfied with quality of the jacket. It definitely repels rain. It looks very well made. I got the next size as the hoodie was not covering the head with the recommended size. There is just one water repellent layer and no lining beneath. I guess it serves the purpose

Compré dos, la talla CH es 7-8 y la G 14-16, la talla CH le quedó perfecta a mi hija de 6 que mide 121cm y pesa 23.8k, la talla G le quedó grande a mi hija de 9 años ella es petit la compré grande porque las ocupaba de urgencia y era la única que entregaban al día siguiente, me la quedo porque doblando las mangas cumple perfecto su función, honestamente no creo que le quede a un muchacho de 16 años, me parece que deberá ser muy delgado, de hecho las chamarras no son anchas, son una sola capa, no tienen forro, sin embargo son perfectas para lugares calorosos y lluviosos, para proteger de la lluvia sin acalorar al niño, tal cual la foto.
