The story has dual POV (Sydney and Tom) and dual timelines (present and past) which intersect perfectly in the course of the novel. The best thing about any psychological thriller is how unpredictable it can be and on this ground, 'The Boyfriend' scores a perfect ten on ten. The novel needs to be read for the big jaw dropping twist at the end. Freida's writing is razor-sharp, with a deep understanding of the human psyche. The characters are complex and multi-dimensional. I loved how the author has tried to show criminal psychology in the course of the novel. The plot is perfectly woven, with enough twists and turns until the very end. We are going with 4 stars 🌟🌟🌟🌟 If you enjoy psychological thrillers with complex characters and twisty plots, "The Boyfriend" is a must-read.

Quality of the book is good. There’s no visible creases in the book. Absolutely loved the storyline. Once again Freida got me ! The twist at the end was amazing. What a Roller coaster ride. I kept on turning page after page wondering where it was leading to and when the ending came it was as unpredictable as ever. When it comes to analyzing the complexities of the human brain, Freida is adept at it. Four stars for me.
