KEF's signature innovation places the tweeter in the acoustic centre of the midrange cone, bringing the acoustic ideal of a single point source closer than ever to realisation. But due to downsizing are now too big for our little cottage. So smaller speakers mean compromising on sound quality, right? Wrong! These KEF Q150’s sound great. They are crystal clear and have a surprisingly deep base. They perform like much bigger speakers, and at the price I think are a bargain. They also look good. Listening to them is a pleasure. Unlike the Q100s which are front ported the Q150s are rear ported so best to not have too close to a wall. If you really want to hang them it would be best to fit the supplied Port bung foams. You will be limiting their capability and bass response by doing this. **Q: Do these speakers come with stands?** A: No they don't. **Q: how long do these take to 'bed in'? sound is a bit thin, although only played for a few hrs so far** A: Straight away.. you trying to say second hand is better than new? or that kef doesn't have the money / patience to do that themselves? come on man... think it through **Q: How can you use them with your TV** A: Hi there, you could get a amp to power the speakers. If you want an HDMI input, you would probably need to look at an AV amp/receiver, as regular stereo amplifiers tend not to offer that type of connection. Having said that you could probably connect via optical or even auxiliary/line input.
