Edit 2: Just under a year later, and this thing is still working perfectly with no issues. I also got used to it, and while I still can't use wireless charging in my car with the case on, I can use it for tap to pay just fine after figuring out the placement. So while the other issues are still present, this is absolutely worth the price. Edit: So they did offer me a full refund on the case due to the issues I had with it, which is nice, but not the reason I'm increasing my review from 3* to 5*. They actually specifically said in the message to *not* increase the rating based on the refund. The reason I'm increasing my rating is that they were actually interested in my feedback and not only gave their rationale for the specific issues I brought up after asking their R&D team about it, but also were appreciative of the feedback and stated they'd work on the issues in future production. That sort of humble dedication to improve is quite rare to see these days, and I'm hoping that with the refund given I'll be able to buy a future model that resolves the issues in this one. Also, the stand is still fine for now, hasn't broken yet. For the price of this case, I think it has too many problems. The case itself looks nice and feels tough enough, though I luckily haven't had to test it against a drop just yet. I do see that people have been commenting about it being too slippery, but I actually disagree with that complain completely. The material on the *back* is slippery, but the material on the *sides, top and bottom* is using a slightly textured, grippy material. The sides, top, and bottom are the main points of contact for holding a phone...I hope people aren't trying to hold it by placing their fingers on the flat back of it. I think the back being smooth is actually a positive, and the grippy material does slightly wrap around to the back all along the outer perimeter of it, giving a bit of grip on flat surfaces too. The issues I've run into, however, are that the camera does not actually fit snugly in the camera cutout. The cutout is too large for the camera, and also positioned slightly too high, leaving a visible gap all the way around the entire camera where dust, debris, and/or spills could easily get inside the case and just be stuck in there. The gap is also larger at the top, above the camera cutout, so it's not even even across the whole thing. The magsafe component appears to block the use of NFC entirely, as the NFC works fine on my phone without the case, but won't work at all once the case is on it. This means I can't quickly transfer contacts or small files, and also can't use tap to pay with my phone, which is a major downside. That smooth back material also smudges with fingerprints quite badly. Finally, the magnetic ring is also quite hard to open with just one hand on the device when you don't really have long fingernails. One of the main uses of a pop-socket, which this is emulating, is being able to grab it with one hand and have a good grip, so that's a bit failure in design as well. I do like the ring otherwise, particularly as a stand. However, the ring is already starting to feel quite tight in its ability to turn and move, so I'm worried that it's going to fail sooner than later. For the time being I'm still going to use the cover as it's what I have, and overall it's a fine cover. That said, if the ring does end up failing on it, I'll be changing to a 1 star review and returning it.

Die Hülle fühlt sich hochwertig an, und das Material ist angenehm griffig, ohne dabei klobig zu wirken. Design: Die Hülle sieht elegant aus und passt sich perfekt dem schlanken Design des Pixel 9 Pro XL an. Sie trägt kaum auf und erhält die tolle Haptik des Smartphones. Zudem sitzt sie fest, ohne dabei die Bedienbarkeit der Knöpfe oder den Zugang zu den Anschlüssen zu beeinträchtigen. Schutz: Was den Schutz angeht, bin ich mehr als zufrieden. Die Hülle bietet sowohl an den Ecken als auch auf der Rückseite eine solide Stoßdämpfung, ohne das Gerät zu schwer oder dick zu machen. Besonders gefällt mir der leicht erhöhte Rand um das Display und die Kameras, was einen zusätzlichen Schutz vor Kratzern bietet, wenn man das Handy auf den Tisch legt. Der integrierte Ständer: Der Ständer ist eine geniale Ergänzung! Er ist stabil und lässt sich problemlos in mehreren Winkeln einstellen, sodass man Videos schauen oder Videoanrufe führen kann, ohne das Gerät in der Hand halten zu müssen. Die Handhabung ist super einfach, und er klappt sauber und sicher in die Hülle zurück, wenn er nicht gebraucht wird. Fazit: Ich kann die Torras Hülle jedem Pixel 9 Pro XL - Besitzer nur empfehlen! Sie bietet hervorragenden Schutz, sieht klasse aus und der integrierte Ständer ist das i-Tüpfelchen, das die Hülle von anderen abhebt. Absolut 5 Sterne!

I'm very satisfied with this phone case. To start with, it was very easy to put on the phone. You don't need much force or nimble fingers to get it done. The general quality and feel of the case is good, and it looks very good in my mind. It also feels nice in hand. There are no visible signs of wear yet (although I also haven't dropped it yet). The surface of the case isn't especially slippery, so, as mentioned, I haven't dropped the phone once when using the case. The edges around the display and camera are raised enough to protect those surfaces in normal situations. One important reason for me to choose this case was the stand, which according a couple of more in-depth reviews I found works very well, better than stands on some other cases. I haven't had a case with a stand before, but I can confirm that at least during the first month of use the stand has worked extremely well. It has just the right balance between stiffness and adjustability so that at the same time using it is comfortable and the phone stands at the angle I want it to stand without falling down or wobbling.

First, let me qualify the rating. I'd give this 4.5 stars (rounded up to 5). This is my second favorite case I've used on recent phones, so it's a good case. There's a LOT going for it and a few things I'd change to make it perfect. Positives first: + It's well made and seems like quality materials when looking at the phone with the case on. + Minimal branding on the side is tolerable and hard to see. + The hinge system is something I was worried about, but it's well engineered, does a great job in both landscape and portrait, and folds neatly into the case body and is not in the way when not in use. I wasn't sure how much I'd use the kickstand, but it's super handy when you want to watch something on Youtube and eat a meal, have your phone in the shower on a window shelf, etc. + The magnet is fairly strong. Not as strong as my PeakDesign case was, but stronger than some MagSafe style magnetic cases I've tried. + It a tight, form-fitting case. It hasn't picked up any excess dirt or anything inside the case to sand away the finish of the body over time, which happens with many cases. + The translucent back is interesting. It's maybe a polarizing design choice, but I think it's nice to see some of the phone's color I spent time contemplating (only to cover). Negatives/improvements: - Android has a "swipe in from the sides" gesture for "back". This means the front side profile of a case should be lower than the corners to make this gesture easier. Like many cases, this case does not have that design. - The case is just ever so slightly more bulky than my wife's case. However, hers does not have a kickstand. It might just be the case that is the difference and this is the minimal thickness you can get away with and have the kickstand built in. - The raised lip around the screen, while being protective, is a little high for my preference. I'd do with a slightly lower drop rating to have those down 0.5 mm or so. Wish list: +/- The buttons on the phone look good, and I think they should be exposed. Ideally, a case is designed to be able to click the original buttons. This is possibly not a negative, as I'm not entirely sure it's possibly to design a protective case that has enough room on the side to be able to cut away those holes. Let's call this one a wish over a negative. I see some cases on the market do have a cut-out here.

Egal ob bei Videotelefonaten, beim Serien schauen oder einfach beim Abstellen auf dem Tisch – der Ständer ermöglicht mir stets den idealen Betrachtungswinkel. Besonders praktisch: Wenn der Ständer nicht gebraucht wird, lässt er sich vollständig im Gehäuse versenken, ohne dabei störend zu wirken.
