I took that risk with this cube and couldn't be happier with my purchase. The cube feels slightly heavy and nice and solid in the hand. It turns smoothly and doesn't get locked up. It's occasionally a little hard to keep the layers lined up to make a turn, but that is to expected with so many layers and it's not too much of a hassle to realign them. As far as solving the puzzle, if you're very new to Rubik's-style puzzles it'll for sure be pretty tricky for you. However, if you know how to solve a 5x5 and a 6x6, then you won't have any problem at all with the 7x7. I love this puzzle. Review: A good Cube - This is a great sticker-less cube. The only concern that he had was that it gets stuck when doing corner cutting. So perhaps it's not too ideal for speed cubing or for the advanced cubes.
