In the past I reviewed and used the Ottocast U2-x with a 2023 Ford Explorer. That product can be used for Apple carplay or Android Auto. I use a Samsung Ultra 22, whether it was Andriod Auto or the car, or the product it would not connect at times or just disconnect. It was very frustrating and I stopped using the product. This Ottocast is specifically for one device or the other. Again I use Android Auto. Installation was very simple, plug it to the USB port specifically for the phone and scan for it on Bluetooth to pair done. The phone connects to this Ottocast within about 15 to 20 second. As well the previous product didn't seem to communicate with the phone and would be "syncing" with apps like YouTube Music for playlists where it quicker to grab the phone and press what you wanted. This device item synchronizes fast, efficient and effectively. It is exactly what I expected for a wireless Android Auto. It's predecessor would not disconnect at times when you had a phone call or got one while exiting your vehicle. This doesn't seem to have that issue that I come across, but this new design does have a push button electric disconnect. Make sure you select the proper device and this is for cars 2023 and newer.
