Avantree C81-Gaming - USB-C Bluetooth 5.3 Audio Adapter Dongle for PS5 | Qualcomm Chip, aptX Adaptive & HD, Premium Sound, Works with AirPods, Bose Headphones & More

Works well with my Bose QuietComfort Ultra Bluetooth Headphones. The only drawback is the initial connectivity. I have to select it in the systems' sound settings, every time I start my PS5, even when the default sound device to the Avantree bluetooth device. Suspect the bug in Sonys' system setup, but I'mnot 100% sure.. However, it's well worth this inconvenience. Through this device, the sound quality is excellent. Microphone quality is excellent, both outgoing and incoming audio. I don't notice any lagging playing on games such as Sniper Elite 5. Very good price for what it offers, especially getting away from the proprietary Sony headphones. Haven't tried it on earbuds. I suggest leaving a message to Avantree if you need to be sure your headsets or earbuds would function with this.

It’s June 2025. I used to pair my Apple AirPod Max’s and pro 2 to my PlayStation 5 Pro with zero issue. Noise cancellations works, audio pairs right up every time and beyond easy to pair from my phone and iPad back to console. The fact I can use my AirPods with my phone and iPad and then send to console in 2 seconds with no issue worth its weight in gold. The fact this product works so well with Apple eco system is fantastic. Truly great product that works as intended flawlessly. Roughly took about 5 mins if not less to setup instructions were very clear and mainly easy so easy an infant can do it. Highly recommend this product. I also paired a Milwaukee Jobsite speaker to it and same it’s very easy to switch. High plus also is how incognito product is you don’t notice it on console.

I Thought this will make the air pods sound bad but it actually has really good sound quality!

Ever heard of false advertising? It doesn’t work for ps5…. AT ALL. Says mutliple times for ps5, “made for ps5” it says twice in its own spot way under the product that it’s not compatible for ps5 microphones, but I just wanted it to pair to my speaker and that doesn’t work either. Scam, very dressed up scam if you buy it for PS5. NOT for PS5. Even reads “for PS5” on the dongle itself for cryin out loud. Wow.

This works very well allowing me to use my Air Pods with my PS5. It's made gaming in the evening better because I don't have to bother others in the house who may be trying to sleep. Set up is not hard, but not seamless either but in the end I was able to connect and I'm very pleased with the purchase.

I bought this item for my PlayStation5 so that I could connect earbuds wirelessly. They are Bluetooth obviously as stated in the description, but when I went to connect them, they tell you to turn off every Bluetooth item you have so it connects to the one item you want to connect to. Does anybody know how many Bluetooth items they actually have because I didn’t know until I tried this and my game started to play on every other Bluetooth device that was in my house. There’s no way unless you have very little Bluetooth items and know exactly which ones they are because most people have a phone or a tablet or a laptop that has Bluetooth already in it. It’s starting to get too much of an issue to figure out how many Bluetooth items I have to run around and shut off until I could get the right one which would be the PlayStation5. Even our TVs have Bluetooth so that just is too much trouble to be able to play detective to figure out what you need to do to set it up, and hopefully it stays in the set up that you finally figure out. Don’t get me wrong, and they work for other people, and I would think since it does say PS5 on it, but I would not have had an issue, but I did. Unfortunately, I did return it and did not try to order any other one because I did not want to take a chance that this could happen again. If you want to try this, please go ahead and I hope you have better luck than I did because I think it’s a very good item and would work well with a lot of devices, however, it did not work out for me and I did not try to get in touch with technical support because it was just turning into too much work just to get earbuds to work in my PlayStation5. I did end up buying earbuds that are wired and connect directly to my controller, they were extremely reasonably priced, and I don’t know if they are popular namebrand or not, because I have not personally heard of them, but they are working perfectly now. Having wireless earbuds was just a matter of convenience, not a necessity, so it’s fine with me, but I have earbuds instead of my big bulky headphones that I will continue to use because they work well also. If you are technically knowledgeable and can connect this, then I must say I’m very proud of you even though I don’t know you. Thank you

So far it works great. Exactly what I needed. Have an extra pair of AirPods laying around so they are now my dedicated headphones Update: the first day they worked great and were quick to set up. The next day, they connect but audio isn’t coming through. Sometimes it’ll play audio for 5 seconds and then lose it. Very frustrating

I picked up the Avantree C81-Gaming USB-C Bluetooth 5.3 adapter to use on my PS5 (Sony), pairing it with my Bose QC45s and Beats by Dre Studio Beats Pro — and the sound quality absolutely blew me away. Compared to the wired connection I had been using through the controller, this is a huge upgrade. Audio is clearer, fuller, and more immersive, with no noticeable lag while gaming or streaming. Setup was straightforward, and once paired, everything just works. For pure sound performance, this adapter delivers. One important thing to note: it does not use the built-in microphones on either headset. You have to manually switch your mic input back to the controller, which isn’t a dealbreaker for me, but it’s worth knowing upfront. Overall, this is a fantastic little device from Avantree. If you’re looking to run premium Bluetooth headphones on your PS5 with excellent audio quality, this is 100% worth it — just be aware of the mic behavior. Highly recommended.

Compré este adaptador para usar con una barra de sonido Samsung HW-T420 por bluetooth y funciona muy bien: sin lag, y con buena calidad de sonido y volumen. Lo mejor es que solo hay que emparejarlos una vez, la barra de sonido ahora enciende automáticamente cuando prendo la ps5. Muy recomendado para los que juegan en un monitor sin bocinas.

Great device! Works as intended, it maintains the audio quality which is good, if youre plugging the device into your ps5 but cant pair your headphones with it, try plugging the device into your phone or tablet then try pairing it with your headphones, then remove the device from your phone or tablet and then plug it into your ps5, done! Note: turn off your phones Bluetooth before plugging the device into your phone. Also, if you're using the sennheiser momentum 4, you can now adjust the audio to your liking on the sennheiser app and it'll save it's settings within the headphones and it'll work with your ps5 with the avantree c81, reason why I'm saying this is because these headphones don't save it's app settings if they're wired/plugged into your dualsense, only through bluetooth/wirelessly

Purchased to pair a Bluetooth speaker to my ps5. Works great, hasn’t lost connection yet. Recommend!
