does it work on glass top

I have it on a desk that has a glass top over wood...it works well on that. I don't know if it works on a table that is only glass without the wood underneath it though.

Yes, everything about the Arc Touch mouse works with Mac OS X (Mavericks). You will need to play with the scroll settings to get it to work properly, not as smooth as the scroll feature on the Magic Mouse.

Does this mouse provide a back and forward browse capability?

Yes and no. You can configure the middle click button using Microsoft Mouse and Keyboard Center to work as either a back or forward button. Unfortunately it can only be one.
