It takes time, maybe 3-4 games for younger kids to understand the game. I just wanted a game for my kid (and for me :)) to have something to play with other than paper and pencil. However, the quality of the board (white in colour as compared to black shown in the image) and of the pieces is Average, I would say.The board is actually quite small - almost 60-70% of the size of the box, which came as a surprise. I believe Funskool has lowered standards to be able to appeal to masses by having lower priced products and hence lower quality.
