Yes you could in theory undo it relatively quickly with a couple of pins / nails. I would never in my wildest dreams lock up my £1500 worth of road bike with it for any length of time (other than a quick cafe stop with me not far away). And yes I could cut through it easily using one of the good quality cutters in my tool box. Now we have all of that out of the way where are you likely to use this lock? I purchased it for my daughter to throw in her school bag and lock up her scooter in the school bike sheds. It stops the one idiot who is likely to try and ride off on an unlocked scooter / bike (plus scooters are a pain to lock as you can’t pass a cable lock through them like you can with a bike frame). It is also great in preventing the opportunist theft of skiing gear, motorbike / cycle helmets, luggage etc. It will never stop a prepared thief and should not be relied upon to do so. In fact even thick expensive insurance approved locks won’t stop a determined and prepared thief. This lock does exactly what it is meant to do which is secure something from an unprepared thief and should stop them from walking / riding off with your stuff. With any luck they will choose the easier unlocked items next to yours instead. It isn’t going to be broken by hand in a hurry unless you are Hercules. If you intend to leave your hard earned bike / items for any length of time, or out of sight then this is not the product for you. Otherwise it works well for the reasons that I bought it for and it is very lightweight.
