Have used this brand of flash drive over many years & found them quick (for my purposes), reliable & the 128GB holds a lot of whatever you want to store. A good buy.

Short life
After about one year of working fine it decided to die on me. Don't use as the only backup. Otherwise the size and feel was great while the stick was working. I always had it on my keyring and never managed to loose it.

Cheap is not cheerful in this case
Surprisingly slow write speeds averaging around 12-16Mbps on Windows and Linux. Also oddly kind of hangs during transfers like it struggles with the data, I assume the controller is low quality. The device is cheap so that is a factor of why people would buy it including muself but I wouldn't reccomend it and advise spending maybe £5 - £10 or so more on a better device.

Cheap for size, but slow with large files.
I bought this for work, to transfer large test data files. I don't know how it is with small files, but with large files (250MB to 1.2GB) it is incredibly slow. It seems to drop to 0MB/sec transfer rates for several seconds, then has a brief 1-2 second burst at high speed, followed by another long 0MB/sec period. I'm assuming it's filling an internal buffer, then waiting for the buffer to clear into the main storage before refilling the buffer. If you need to write large files quickly, look elsewhere, but if capacity is more important to you than speed, this could be the bargain you are looking for.

A good quality USB3 drive
Needed a USB stick for a software update. The USB stick is solidly constructed and works as expected. Some posts mentioned speeds so I plugged mine into a USB 3.0 port and downloaded a speed test software. Write speeds was 20-60MBs (average 29MBps) and read speeds average of 110MBps, so I am happy with my purchase.

Works perfectly
Original order never arrived. Amazon replaced item when informed at no extra cost. Replacement arrived within 2 days and works fine. Very handy little piece of kit. Does what it says on the tin. My Mac pc recognises it no problem. File transfer quick and easy. Simple word of advice for removing from pc after use, always use operating system eject facility before removal so as not to risk damaging internal integrity of drive.

Been using Verbatim for over 25 years now..it started with 5 1/4" floppies...and they have never disappointed me.

They ran out in stock when I got the first one and tested... would have gotten few more. There are no usb's with actual advertised 3,0-3,1 speed for similar price tags... Compared to other brands this one have been best on speed...and feels very reliable. Verbatim stuff have passed our household lot of times and haven't disappointed yet... Don't expect miracles...it's just a fairly decent drive that feels very steady and stable...
