Nice upgrade from the previous model but could use some company fine tuning!
I just upgraded from the previous fail safe model that did not include the ethanol content display. This feature is fantastic for keeping check on the the quality of pump fuel. A few disappointments with the kit are that the wires to the flex fuel sensor are way way too short. You must cut and soldier in wires to extend the cable length. The other disappointment is there is no way to calibrate the gauge. I test tube check the fuel at the pump and will find that the ethanol content is consistently E-85 however the gauge reads E-79, E-80. I figured I might have got a bad sensor so I purchased another with the same results. The continental sensors do have a 5% error range and this is right there. It may also be that extending the wires which you will need to do, cause a slight voltage drop thus causing the inaccuracy. Either way I hope AEM comes up with a fix. Overall great gauge. Boost is accurate until you hit the 25 psi range. After that it's accuracy drops quick. During several dyno sessions it would say my little whipple 2.3 was putting out 28.5 lbs of boost. The shop gauge was recording a cool 25. Overall great product just needs some more software development time.
