Brilliant upgrade from our old baby monitor — excellent picture, easy setup and full-room coverage
We purchased this Ring Pan-Tilt Indoor Camera to replace our BT baby monitor, which we’d used for five years but could no longer access remotely because BT stopped supporting the app. We needed something reliable that would work when we were away from home, and this has been the perfect replacement. Build quality and placement The camera is a nice compact size and feels very well made, with a weighted base that keeps it stable on a solid surface. I’ve placed it on top of a cupboard in our child’s bedroom, and from that position it gives complete coverage of the room, including a clear view of the cot. I’ve included a photo so you can see the placement and angle. Setup, power supply and app integration Setup was extremely easy. Because we already had Ring devices connected through our Amazon Alexa app, the camera linked automatically and the process took only a couple of minutes. It also comes with its own USB power supply that plugs into a standard 13-amp socket, which keeps things simple — no need to buy anything extra. My second photo shows the included power supply. Video quality and night vision The video quality is excellent in both daylight and a fully darkened room. Whether viewed on a mobile phone or through our Amazon Alexa screens, the picture is crisp and detailed. You can pinch-to-zoom for a closer look if needed, and the colour night vision gives a very clear view even with the lights off. Pan & tilt performance and AI notifications The pan-tilt feature is extremely smooth and gives full-room coverage without blind spots — ideal for checking different areas of the bedroom from the app. The notifications now appear to use AI, which is genuinely impressive. It identifies movement with surprising accuracy, even down to details like “a person has entered the room carrying a blue box”. This level of detail has been very reassuring. Integration with Alexa and home setup We route our notifications to our Echo Show devices around the house, so whenever the camera senses movement, the video feed appears automatically. This gives us full coverage of our child’s room without needing to reach for a phone. A small negative The only minor issue is the small blue light on the front of the camera. It isn’t bright during the day and doesn’t stay on constantly, but when it moves in complete darkness it becomes noticeably visible. I fixed this by placing a tiny strip of black electrical tape over the light, which removed the distraction without affecting performance. Verdict Overall, this is a superb camera and an excellent upgrade from our old baby monitor. Easy to set up, great picture quality, smooth pan-tilt control and reliable notifications — exactly what we needed for monitoring our child’s room. Do hope you find this useful.

Professional Peace of Mind – A Brilliant Upgrade to the Ring Camera Family
Running my business from home means my office doubles as my workspace and studio, and over time, I’ve built up quite a bit of valuable kit — from professional photography and video equipment to product stock for my business. When I decided to put my house on the market, I suddenly realised that people — estate agents, potential buyers, and others — would be walking through the property. And while most visitors are trustworthy, I’ve worked too hard to take chances with my gear. So, on Prime Day, when I spotted the “Ring Pan-Tilt Indoor Camera” at a massive 54% discount, I jumped at the opportunity. It seemed like the perfect way to keep a discreet but reliable eye on my office — and to give myself a bit of extra peace of mind. The camera arrived the next day with Prime, as always, fast and efficient. Right from unboxing, I was impressed — Ring’s packaging and presentation are top-notch, and you can immediately tell you’re holding a quality piece of tech. The camera itself feels sturdy, well-built, and surprisingly compact given its functionality. The setup process was effortless. As soon as I plugged it in, the camera began talking me through the installation step by step — clear voice prompts and simple app integration made it quick and stress-free. Within minutes, it was online, synced with my Ring account, and covering my entire office space. Now, this is where it gets really good — the pan and tilt feature. Compared to my two static Ring cameras in the kitchen and lounge, this one is on another level. The 360-degree pan and near-170-degree tilt mean you can literally see every corner of the room without needing multiple cameras. And the movement is smooth and precise, easily controlled from the app. The image quality is exceptional too. Even when zooming in from my phone, the picture remains clear and detailed — far sharper than my older static models. The motion sensor works flawlessly, immediately recording when someone enters the room and continuing as long as movement is detected. And the two-way audio is crisp and responsive — ideal if I ever want to speak through it or listen in remotely. The design is also worth mentioning. The base is nicely weighted, so I’ve just placed mine on a shelf, and it stays perfectly stable, even when rotating. There’s also a wall mount bracket included in the box if you prefer a fixed setup, which is a great touch. Since installing it, I’ve felt far more at ease knowing that if anyone comes into my office, I’ll have a clear record — or I can even watch live straight from my phone if needed. It’s a simple but effective layer of reassurance. When I move to my new house, I’ll definitely be replacing my older static cameras with these pan-and-tilt models. They offer so much more versatility, coverage, and value for money. For the price — especially if you catch them on sale — these cameras are an absolute no-brainer. If you want reliability, great image quality, and full-room control from the palm of your hand, I highly recommend the Ring Pan-Tilt Indoor Camera.

Good indoor camera to go on existing plan.
Clear recording, easy to set up, tilt and pan function is great to check on the dog. Connects easily to network easily and existing ring plan. The only pain is the dog can knock it easily as the base is heavy and the wire is flimsy. And it has to be at the edge of the worktop of you just get a view of the worktop. So a nosey dog often boops it.

Good performance and smart integration, but a few design limitations
Overall I’m very happy with it this camera. The video is smooth, the motion tracking is quiet, and it does a solid job of capturing events without drawing attention to itself mechanically. One of the standout features is how well it integrates with other Ring devices. Being able to link it with other cameras and a Ring doorbell so that everything records when motion is detected or the doorbell is pressed is genuinely useful and adds a lot of value to the system. That said, there are a few downsides that stop it from being a full five stars. The most frustrating is the status light, which can’t be turned off. In certain rooms or at night it’s more noticeable than I’d like, and it would be good to have the option to disable it - for now I've put a small peice of electrical tape over it. The lack of an SD card slot is another limitation, as it means you’re fully reliant on cloud storage with no local recording option. The PTZ design is also worth noting. Because of how the tilt function works, the camera leans backward and forward rather than adjusting internally. This means it needs a slightly larger footprint than other cameras I’ve used, which could be an issue if you’re trying to place it in a tight spot. Overall, it’s a reliable and well-integrated camera with strong performance, but a few design choices hold it back slightly.

Great camera — seamless setup for existing Ring users
Bought this primarily to keep an eye on our new kitten while we're at work, and it's been brilliant for that. Setup was very easy, and if you already have Ring products it integrates seamlessly. The pan and tilt movement is impressive, giving a really clear view around the room. I personally used a 3D printed mount to attach it to the wall for a good bird's eye view, which works really well.

Good quality, great low light image.
I’m very impressed with this. We use it for keeping an eye on the cats. Great image quality in low light. Pan and tilt function is really handy too. The cable is a nice length. The only thing I would like Ring to implement is a schedule for actual motion detection, in addition to the alerts schedule.

A steel!!!
Absolute bargain for the price you pay. My previous Ring Cam was much lighter and a fixed position. It did the job but being so light I caught the power lead by accident and the cam took a dip into wate. The result was, "Rest in peace" by by cam game over for you! So I wanted to replace it immediately of course. The timing couldn't be better, this one was on offer so I jumped at the chance of getting it ASAP and boy am I happy I did. It's much more solid and larger with the added touch of the 360° rotation and up and down movement! With the Ring app you have absolute control over it's positioning and zoom in and out! It has all the other benefits to such as alarm and detection alerts! This security cam is a absolute steel for the customer and with the Ring Subscription it's a much have! Setting up is so much easier these days and it's very simple and straight forward! At it's full price it's still a great deal but when Amazon comes along and dangles this carrot in front of you then there's only one outcome, you are going to steel it😁👌!
