I replaced all 4, which helped, but unfortunately, the drum bearings had failed and also needed to be replaced. The shocks were easy to install, as you can break the locking tabs removing the old units. These seemed to be identical to the original parts and work well, especially after replacing the drum bearings (a much more major project, but reasonable if you are handy). Very happy with the results, the machine works like new, and the new shocks are working well. Review: Shocks are still supporting the spin cycle of my Maytag 2000 Series washer after six months of use - After my poor wifey had a mishap and bruk up our Maytag 2000 washer, I was pleased to find these replacement shocks available on desertcart.
