Learning Resources Giant Inflatable Solar System

We've had these part of our son's bedroom decor for the past 7 years and he still loves them! They have held up great! Highly recommend them!

I am so happy with this purchase. I bought these to hang from the ceiling in my 7yo's space themed bedroom and they worked perfectly. I didn't hang the sun in his room because it is HUGE! Which is awesome, just not practical! haha. When he is done using them I will be stealing them back and hanging them from the ceiling in my classroom! After being hung for 5 months, I noticed Mars and Mercury apparently had a small hole in the seam of them that has been slowly leaking air, but I was able to patch it easily with the patches that come with the set. I didnt use the pump to inflate them so I cant review how well that worked....but it looked easy to use and well made. Overall, I'm incredibly happen with these planets and highly recommend them!

I purchased this inflatable solar system set as a gift for my son who’s shown interest in space recently. He has some small astronaut toys and a space ship and he was asking for planets to go along with them. The set arrived nicely packaged with each planet being neatly folded and individually wrapped (see attached pictures.) Each planet also came with its own repair patch. The set has all the planets, including Pluto, the sun (which is ENORMOUS) and Earth’s moon. All the planets are much larger than I expected. I didn’t realize when I ordered, but a manual pump is also included. I was thrilled when I realized I wouldn’t have to blow everything up by mouth. Another surprise was that each planet has two small circular spots near the inflation port, so the planets can be hung up with string or thread. The colors and designs of the planets are bright and vivid. The plastic used feels more substantial than other cheap plastic blow up items. The only issue I found was that not all of the planets are self sealing after being blown up. So once you inflate the planet you have to do the old switch-a-roo to your finger then close the plug quickly before any air escapes. It’s not that big of a deal, but some do self seal and others don’t. All in all my son is thrilled with his gift and it’s definitely a great value for the money.

The planets/sun/moon themselves are awesome looking. Easy to hang, and they look really nice in my sons room. Only thing i don’t like so much is the pump. The spring in the pump got knocked akimbo and made pumping the sun and Jupiter really challenging. I wish it was a better quality pump, more akin to a soccer ball pump. But all in all, this is a nice planet set. Note that the planets are labeled on the box, but the colors of our Mercury and Pluto did not match what was on the box. My son is thrilled though, so I’m very pleased.

I purchased these for our preschool classroom's unit on space. The children adored them, and having something to physically manipulate and play with made it much easier for them to remember planet names. Some of the sizes are a bit off, but close enough for children who are just starting to learn about space. These planets stood up to 12 preschoolers jumping on and throwing them without a single popped planet. My only note is that they are a NIGHTMARE to blow up. If you have an electric pump I highly recommend you use it. But, once blown up they are well worth the effort!

I bought this set for my future classroom. My ten year old sons are interested in science and we ended up hanging this set in our house and I will buy another set for school. This set is not a toy, it s not durable or designed to be played with. The shapes are off a little but as a learning device it is perfect. Each planet was easy to inflate and hang. The proprtions are not 1:1 which is impossible to do for an average room. The model allows us to establish a mental image of the solar system and we can imagine the rest. The only thing that would improve this set would be to make Saturn's rings inflatable instead of plastic covered cardboard which is too heavy. I do plan to buy another set because it suits my needs well.

I’m not sure if there’s a new version of Saturn since July 2025 but the Saturn I have has a hard ring around it and has since I gotten a hole where the planet connects to the hard rings… I’ve tried everything to fix it and not works to keep it closed. So, it just makes my son upset every time he goes to play with a deflated Saturn that won’t ever become inflated again. :/

These are great! My son absolutely loves them. They’ve held air with no issues for over a month now. They look great. It comes with a pump, but if you have an electric one…use it. These things are MASSIVE. I know it says “giant” but you never know what to expect when ordering online. They are indeed giant. The sun is even bigger than those giant bouncy balls in the cage in Walmart. Airing up the smaller planets was a nice break. I did have a little difficulty getting the plugs in on the smaller ones without a bunch of air coming out. But that’s possibly a me issue tbh.

Paketet var helt öppet när vi fick det. Men alla planeter fanns där. Men när vi pumpat luft i dem så är det en som tappar luft och sjunker ihop
