4 USB-C 3.2+100W Power Delivery

This works perfectly on my iMac so I don't have to reach around behind it every time I want to plug in my iPhone or a shared external CD player. It transfers video from my iPhone perfectly despite the warning stating that it doesn't handle video. It's exactly what I needed to bring those USB-C ports around front.

Use this as a docking station for my phone and it works perfectly

This review is for the 4-USB C and 1-PD (power) ports. Based on the reviews of others, I tested all USB-C ports as soon as I received it. (Many people report that one or more ports were dead on arrival.) The four data ports work (ie I could transfer files). As this device would use the only available port on my MacMini, I wanted the option to use the PD port on this device to charge my devices. After some communication difficulties with the seller, we eventually connected, and seller explained that power only flows the other way from the direction I need it to. The product description does not make this clear. While I could use the USB-C ports to charge devices, it’s not fast-charging at all, so by connecting this device to my MacMini, I am losing the option of fast-charging my devices from the computer. I bought this particular item because I need the longer cable it has. Most similar items listed have very short cables, which would not work for my purposes. So, overall, this device meets most, but not all, of my needs, and I’m keeping it. NOTE about contacting seller: DO NOT contact by email; rather, use Amazon messaging. I followed the instructions from seller’s packaging, and emailed them, and their response went to spam, which of course I did not know until the seller eventually reached out via Amazon messaging. There were some communication challenges resulting from, I presume, language differences. Once we eventually connected, though, the seller was response and eager to explain and make things right.

I have used this with my MS surface and my wife's Mac without issue. Speeds are good and it passes power sufficient to run the laptop. I had hoped that I could use this to connect to a PC and supply power to the USB ports but not to the device but this hub won't do that so you can't use it with higher powered USB devices. I contact support and they got back to me within a couple of days confirming my suspicion about how this hub worked and pointed me to an alternative product that they sell that has the features that I was looking for. So +1 for having good clear support and understanding my needs.

Since my laptop only has one USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 port, I needed this hub to add ports to do some M.2 disk cloning. I liked the compact size and the USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 spec. Unfortunately, when you plug a disk into the hub, you don't always get the USB-C 3.2 Gen 2 performance. At times, the system does not recognize the disk you plug in until you unplug the hub from the computer and plug it back in. When the disk is recognized by the computer, speed tests are erratic. I tested a 1 TB M.2 disk and got average read rates ranging from 41.5 MB/s to 988.3 MB/s. Plugged directly into the computer, I get 1.0 GB/s, which is what the disk is rated. The 4 USB-C ports are also sloppy. If you bump whatever is plugged into a port (a cable in my case) while plugging in another disk, you may lose connection, i.e. the disk is no longer recognized by the computer. I suppose if you are very, very careful, you could make this hub work for your purposes. For me though, its not worth the hassle.

Advertised quality & functionality did not meet my expectation. I am using 100W GaN power adapter + 250W UGreen USB-C cable. To me, i thought this would be a great tech tool, but it seems All 4xUSB-C down stream ports are sharing with common power source, this means inadequate power delivery to each C port to support in the scenario of multiple external SSD/NVME drive-to-drive copy scenarios, where i had previously setup to use with fine my Thunderbolt Dock. However, product should work fine for travel users if one just have a simple hup connectivity that can support thumb drive and mouse/keyboard while with single power charging source that feeds through this little hub, might want to consider Aceele's similar hubs that has both USB-C + USB-A ports.

Would have been great except one of the USB C ports does not work.

Doesn't support fast charging to my phone and doesn't support video out from the phone which were the 2 things I needed.

Todo genial, funciona correctamente y es muy útil. Para mí Mac ha sido un acierto total ya que solo trae dos ranuras para conexiones.

Brilliant piece of kit. I can now power my laptop and a USB WIFI mobile router and charge my phone from only one power socket. It’s a very good idea.
