Amazing Value Over Other 12-string Guitars, New or Used
Very happy customer. This guitar is an amazing value... so many features for so little money! It has great tone, good action, a solid spruce top, mahogany sides and back, nice inlays at the sound hole and fretboard. This is an acoustic electric with built-in tuner. I'm not sure why the purchase included a clip-on electronic tuner but happy to have a spare. The included extra set of strings is nice. The included capo is not strong enough for a 12-string even tuned down a full step. Before purchasing, I tried some higher end, used guitars to control costs, but this guitar sounds and plays better. The good sound was evident even when watching youtube reviews. By buying the Vangoa Pro 12-string, I don't have to worry about spending money straightening the neck on an older, dinged or scratched 12-string guitar. If this feedback makes it back to Vangoa, I respectfully submit three suggestion. (1) Either don't supply a capo or supply one truly suitable for a 12-string. (2) Improve the tuner to allow tuning down a half step or whole step. (3) Improve the model label inside the guitar body. The label itself looks cheap and out of place compared to the wonderful attention given the rest of the guitar. A serial number isn't necessary, but could be helpful to Vangoa quality control in the event of a problem. Thank you for a wonderful guitar at such an unbelievingly low price!

Excellent value from this 12 String Guitar from Vangoa!!!
The Vango 12 String Acoustic is an excellent value for the money. This guitar is perfect for beginners wanting to get that 12 string sound or for studio professionals who wants to add another guitar to the arsenal that won't break the bank. Right out of the box I saw that the craftsmanship was good. The frets looked great, the finish on the body was smooth to the touch and the sound was just perfect. The guitar came with a gigbag, tuner and capo. The tuner is awesome and will work with any other stringed instrument. The capo is honestly that great and may not be even worth fooling with. The strings tuned up great thanks to the quality machine heads. The sound of this guitar is full and vibrant and fits in a full band mix very nicely. Watch my video review for more details and to hear the guitar in action.

Excellent starter 12 string!
This is an excellent starter 12 string. It is a good looking guitar, sounds great and best of all very affordable. Love it!

Front not well-braced. The bridge is pulling up under the tension.
At first, I thought this was a great value for the $$. It sounded great, came with a bunch of accessories (inbuilt preamp/EQ!) and good tuning pegs. Unfortunately, over the year that I've owned this guitar I noticed it wasn't easy to keep in tune. Enough so that I tuned it down from an E to a D to reduce the tension (fairly substantial on a 12 string). When that didn't help, I began to look more closely at the construction of the guitar, and that's when I noticed 2 things: 1) the front of the guitar is visibly pulling up at the bridge. 2) the bridge wasn't fastened (glued?) down completely from side to side. Due to the bulging front, the ends of the bridge show daylight, enough that I can easily slip a piece of paper between the bridge and the body. I brought it in to a luthier to a look at it, and after acknowledging the issue, he refused to work on it. He basically said "You got what you paid for". It would easily cost more for him to repair the Vangoa than it would for me to buy a decent new 12 string. So, now I'm looking at the Fender 820 12-string...

Great guitar, especially for the price!
I have been playing for 50 years now, this is my 7th 12 string and best yet. (I've had Ovation, Dean, Epiphone and three Alvarez, so not my first rodeo.) The unit I received had a decidedly convex neck, very hard to tune as the strings rake the frets and you just don't know where you are at. Finally you get enough clearance to get it in tune. Patience pays as I spent three weeks finding the right gauge strings, ernie ball light electric strings seemed to sit best and the action came out nice and low at about 80 thousands of an inch at the 12 fret, the low end of the scale, 80 to 100 being "good." In the end I believe the convex neck is better at resisting the tension on its own, requiring less from the truss rod. The fret ends are the best I've ever seen, but why not polish the frets while you are at it? Not as rough a fret as Gibson, but polishing would make a nice touch, I did mine and they are like glass. Also, might I suggest a brass nut? They have twice the sustain of bone, which itself is just a little better than plastic. Fit and finish are top notch, small issue with a raised 6th fret, I plan on taking it down with a hand stone. But this is a beautiful guitar, more in the $1200 range in my estimation, love the slimline, the tuner has a small screen, not just red and green LEDs, split back and sides, beautiful wood grain! (I use white cotton gloves while tuning the 18 to 1 keys, gold, especially gold plating should never be handled directly.) Last but not least I must mention the generous amount of abalone inlay work on the fret board, the soundhole and the properly shaped peghead, well done folks! (Generous inlays, but useful, I don't like "tree of life" etc fingerboard inlays.) But again, what a beautiful guitar and the accessories were great too, and shipped in the case!

Serious Bridge Issues NOT Solid-Top
I have to take a 180 on my original review. First of all, as with another Vangoa 12 string model I purchased, the bridge is splitting from the top and the top is bubbled. I keep my guitars stored in a humidity-controlled room and/or their case. Which brings me to the second point, you will have to get a custom-built hard case because the headstock is so cartoonishly long it will not fit a standard case. Third, and perhaps most egregious, it is advertised as a solid-top. I have it from a trusted luthier that it is in fact a laminated top. It is pretty and sounds pretty good, but man am i pissed.
