No scratches on my rack, and it has a smooth glide. The directions are not super descriptive, but I think the reason that some people are have problems is because they a fully tightened the screws, thus not giving the rollers room to flex. If you do that, it's not going to fit.I'm not a fan of the locking mechanism. However, this is the best alternative to the VTS. Like the VTS, it fits all Barbells from 28mm to 50mm. So if you have specialty bars, they will fit no problem. During my research, SYL doesn't do that; it ranges from 28mm to 32mm, which isn't bad, and they are very versatile. However, I don't like being limited. I would say these are VTS's biggest competitors. The truth is, VTS's only saving grace is that hook. However, you can always go to a metal smith/worker who is good at their craft and have them commission something for you. It's not really a copyright infringement, especially since those hooks already exist on standard Smith machinesGoing to research to find a 360 bolt that will keep flesh just enough and allow me to slip my bars out easier. ### ⭐ Quality Control is the issue *by on Reviewed in the United States May 1, 2026* I really wanted this to work but too many small details were missed in manufacturing. Some of the rollers were not perfectly round which caused the trolly to bind at different points. This defect made the smith function almost impossible because of the drastic inconsistency in force required to move each trolly. Second, tiny details that ended up having a big impact was the slight hole misalignment on the brackets, it wasn’t much maybe a 1/16” but when you need something to be perfectly square to function, that’s a problem. For the trolly that did move without binding up on the bar it was very noisy. Other items were more frustrating than anything (mis-tapped screw holes, missing screw, metal burs, bad bearing, pinch rings out of grooves) but I could have overlooked had it not been for the issues that made it practically unusable. ### ⭐⭐⭐⭐ Durable materials = Long term use *by on Reviewed in the United States November 30, 2025* Solid setup! Takes a little time to install, so just be prepared for that experience. Pulley cables are fairly long enough.
