Review: Wish I Would’ve Bought This Years Ago — Fantastic Results Once You Learn It - I’ve sharpened knives a lot of different ways over the years, and this thing is flat-out impressive. The Work Sharp Ken Onion Edition Elite Mk2 gets knives extremely sharp, quickly, and with far less hassle than traditional sharpening methods. I did try the guided sharpener function, and honestly, it’s great — especially if you’re newer to sharpening or want a little more hand-holding on angle consistency. It takes a lot of the guesswork out and works well. That said, after using it for a while, I’ve switched almost exclusively to the Elite add-on belt sharpening option, and for me, that’s where this thing really shines. Once you get comfortable with it, it lets you sharpen faster and more consistently, and I’ve been able to get knives to a true hair-whittling sharp edge with less effort than other systems I’ve used. There is a learning curve, and like any powered sharpener, you can remove material quickly if you’re careless. Light pressure and patience go a long way. But once you get the feel for it, the control and results are excellent. So far, I absolutely love it, and honestly, my biggest regret is not ponying up the money for it years ago. If you use knives regularly and appreciate a properly sharp edge, this is money well spent.
Review: Great value. - The Ken Onion Mk2 sharpener was easy to learn and very straightforward to use. I was impressed by the great results right away, and I appreciated the solid **stability** during sharpening. Its **size** felt practical, the overall **durability** seems excellent, and the included accessories made the experience even better. I also liked the convenient **sharpening angle** options, which helped me get consistent edges with little effort. Overall, this is a well-designed tool, and I am seriously considering buying another.

### ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ Very quick and effective sharpening system
*by R***. on October 6, 2026*

I have had this sharpener long enough and used it to resharpen multiple knives at this point to give a well tested review. I have multiple sharpening systems. I have used one of the very expensive systems that will put a mirror finish on your blade. That system works very well but is tedious to use especially on harder steels. I purchased the Ken Onion with the idea to maintain and quickly sharpen knives when I didn’t want to spend an hour honing. What I have found is that I rarely get the other sharpener out now. I love this Ken Onion and it has become my go to sharpener. I have multiple steels on my pocket knives to include 110v, MagnaCut, k390, and a plethora of others all the way down to VG10. This system gets them all sharp and does it much more quickly than the other guided system. I did not find it hard to use or learn. As a matter of fact I was off to the races on the very first attempt. I have found that I don’t use the smaller grinder attachment. I prefer to use the one with the larger belts. Will it hone it to the same degree as the other higher end sharpening systems? Well not for me it won’t with my skill level but it gets is so darn close it becomes a nothing burger. This system works, will make your knife scary sharp, and is much easier to use and much faster than the other systems. A pure winner for someone who keeps their knives sharp and maintained. It also makes axe sharpening quick and easy. Love it!
